 | I just got an email which made me think that Pauls mother Belle could be very ill (and maybe die soon...?).
I hope not - anyway that might be the reason that he is not planing a tour this year/summer. |

| I think a few years older than 90...
It is only a speculation now, but for me it sounds like as if she is not in the best condition. |

 | The Mojo Article from November 2006 (also posted in the articles section) tells that Paul´s mother is 96 years Old. So she is 96 or 97.

A former neighbour of Paul Simons mother, who was always in contact with her (by phone) said she can not reach her anylonger...no answers since a certain time. So they asked me if I have any information if she is doin fine... |

 | When I met Paul last July in Toledo, I asked him if he knew of this fan website called "The neck of my guitar" and of Bodo Malo from Austria who started the site...he said no...but then with a little grin said that he knew where the name for the site came from...I answered that I did too.... |

I do hope she´s ok...But she is 97 or so and thats a really good age. But it doesn´t make it any less distressing for familiy, I know that, as many here will, from experience.

| Yes, that was written. The neighbour woman is also very Old, her son wrote me. And I think they really take care of her because now they try to get contact over the internet.
Maybe it is nothing, maybe the mother changed her phone number and forgot to give it to her Old Friends.
Or maybe she is very ill and can not answer anymore.
I can not help them to find out more - and I felt they take a lot of care of Pauls mother. I told him I will try to find out the phone number of Eddies office in NY (he knows Eddie from his childhood)
97 is really a good age.
My grandmother died around 20 years earlier, and I also thought thats not a bad age. |
