The american version of itunes has some interesting reviews of "EPS" also there is a free podcast of "the Jayflo & Laura show" which does a review of the album.

I got it meanwhile. The most outstanding (and the only new for me) track on the DVD is the Dick Cavett show of April 4, 1970, where he plays some short versions of Mrs. Robinson and explains about the song.

At the height of his guitar skills, you can clearly see that he was always different and outstanding compared to other pop stars.

He kept the most famous line of the song "where have you gone..." , coming out of pure imagination, because he felt it means something.

Maybe it is the most famous line of him for Americans till today.

Oh yeah...I did receive the e-mail from Warner. LOL !!!!

You do not hear anything from them and suddenly, they want you to buy the same songs for the 8th times, then they reappear.

Surprise, surprise, surprise...I am not buying it !!!

I totally agree Mog : it´s the first time I received an e-mail from this site (I registered my e-mail on PS official site a long time ago but....) and now, the first information it´s just to remind me to buy "the essential" ....
Strange marketing way.....

I know what you mean, first email from their marketing machine to me as well.

In the past I would occasionally register my name again, just in case it got lost somehow. I was never told I was already registered, just got the confirmation email from them.

Strange how such a master is treated with little respect. I bet if it were bloody Linkin Park or Green Day there would be a bolt of promotional and news emails.

According to e online, Essential Paul Simon made its chart debut at number 42! Not too bad at all. Most probably assisted by access to those video gems (finally).

is there any information about when (if) it will be on sale in shops on this side of the Atlantic.
Sorry to be Old fashioned but I Love the physical pleasure of going to the shelves, picking out a Paul Simon album, and bringing it up to the stud pierced, black clothed, greasy long haired rock afficiendo that usually mans (?peoples) the cash register at most record stores.

For me The Sweeny Sisters skit was worth the cost. I don´t have a lot of the other compilation CD´s so it was a good buy for me.

Just an information : I saw the product on the FNAC website ; so, I went to the shop about 3 weeks ago and pre-ordered it ; as you Scaaty, I prefer to talk with men in the shop rather that the computer (lol) ; more, when they´ll receive it, I can choose to buy or not... So, they told me that it´s need between 2 and 3 weeks to receive it after the released date because it´s an import product ; so I´m waiting for...
I don´t know if you... know, FNAC is the best one seller of CD, DVD, Books and so on... in France !
