Bodo,

I think the tribute file I downloaded has the problem you described with the Abbey Road video - it stutters every few seconds. I think it has something to do with the video codec used. Anybody else experience this? The sound is fine.

MOG, merci pour avoir partagé avec tout le monde. Même si l´ordre des chansons est assez différent que le spectacle, je suis toujours impressioné par la qualité des performances, surtout de la groupe musicale.

Because PS was so well received by Montreal fans, one of his managers (who works with Dylan) decided to send His Bobness to the same venue this summer.

I had the same thing with the video, somme parts are better than others, but it does stutter. The picture is clear though.
For some reason I only got sound on one side, that is a little weird.
Anyway, its great to have a chance to see this, and thanks for posting it.
In the long run, I think I will stick with Pauls versions of these songs though!

Is the "smaller" version available for download? I have problems with this kind of download with real large files, because my internet connection closes down every 8 hours and I can´t resume the download where it left.

I would like to see it but don´t care that much for high quality in this case.

You need a download manager software Mimi (Nettransport for example)

So - did anyone else download this big files, and has the same problems than Joey? (stuttering?)

And Joey, I have now extracted the mpg file from the abbey road show and it seems to be okay (at position 6:30 there is 1 white frame - and PowerDVD seems to hang on this frame and can not play the next few seconds...that happens a few times). I will create a new DVD from that one, maybe it helps.

BTW: The big version is definately much better
2,6 GB <-> 220 MB .... , but the small version is also watchable if you just want to see it for one time.

Mimi, what do you use (chello, inode...?) I never had any problems with connections closing after 8 hours.

The stuttering problem with my video should be normal. I do not have the equipment at home to transfer VHS on DVD, so I dealt with a friend who told me that it was the best he was able to do it. I suspect that the sound is even mono, although I am not sure. I do not know if the problem can be solved afterwards by you folks if the file has been created like this.

I should kick my butt and get it transfer on DVD properly.

I think it is quite a nice tribute and, as I already mentionned, contrary to the Washington Tribute and others held in the past, this one was a truly democratic and free event. You did not have to pay $350 to enjoy it.

Bodo, I am not able to download the 2.7 GB version of the tribute show. The smaller file works.

Did you delete the bigger file ?

Cheers,
Kuno (with Swiss flag again :o)

Thanks Bodo. We use AON. Since every other download software doesn´t care for the short interruption I never thought of it too much. Thanks for your hint. I will watch the small and decide after that if I download the big one. Thanks for putting the files up, Bodo.

Mog has uploaded them. I have to say - I just now found the time to complete the downloads and watch them

For me the videos are useless - sorry mog.
I thought it just stutters a few times, but this video stops-goes-stops-goes-stops..every 2 seconds.

A audio only version is the only thing you can make of that :-(

I did not watch the wmv version until it starts to stutter (in the first few minutes this problem does not appear), because I can not forward on this wmv file. But this has another extra problem - white small glitches all over the picture appearing randomly. ???
