 | If you do one best in Central Park concert, you MUST do the other.
My favorite song from this concert is without a doubt The Obvious Child. What a great way too open the concert! (I miss him singing that live.) |

 | Absolutely agree with you Soren - the song on ROTS album bears no resemblance to this beautiful rendition. |

 | I feel the best is the last here.. the number 1 version anywhereof SOS,ushered in by Ray Phiris blissful guitar solo, and Pauls VERY deliberate phrasing of the lyrics. |

 | Ok, I need to add just two more:
Hearts And Bones because the way he sang it here sent chills up my spine, and America. The solo on guitar was beautiful.
The song I really didn´t care for on in this concert was The Boy In The Bubble. I didn´t like this version. |

 | The Sound of Silence definitely, but it is Paul playing the opening electric guitar verse.Phiri does indeed pkay the silky solo later in the song. Callista,is it the arrangment or this particular performance you dislike of BITB? I have an amazing version of the song I recorded myself at Paul´1991 Brisbane concert, with a truly dynamic and hard as nails solo from Ray Phiri. We listened to it over and over again on the journey back home. What memories... |

 | Mine was Diamonds -- I loved that arrangment -- I wish he hadn´t of changed it for the Surprise tour. |

 | A hard choice, I can´t pick only one. For me these 3 songs are the best of CP91.
In order of the setlist:
Born At The Right Time
The Cool Cool River
The Coast |

 | I knew you would spot it Ian...Yes Pauls opening electric, and Rays solo the middle....easy to get carried away with this concert, its that good. So have to add, indeed The Cool,Cool River, plus She Moves On. |

 | While we´re waiting for the rest of Surprise tour and release of support CD/DVD. release of a DVD of CP91 would be great, as well as aCD of the YTO paris concert, OTP on DVD, Oh and maybe a CD/DVD of the Dylan/simon tour - is there a recording available of it anywhere.
BTW CP91 was my first Paul Simon CD and first CD toget when I bought a CD player. Got a present 2 years previously of the S&G Collection CD |
