 | I´ve just visited a Exhibition of Georgia O keefe´s paintings with a friend who´s inclined to hum songs all the. As we entered the gallery I mentioned that I thought GOk had lived in the desert somewhere maybe New Mexico, my friend starts humming ´sangre de christo blood of christ mountain, New mexico" I laughed recognising the song. then we saw paintings of red mountains. the final connection was a picture titled "hands and bones".
I noticed in GOK biography that there were a lot of exhibitions, retrospectives etc in the late 70´s early 80´s.
Is this all a coincidence or would Paul be making references to the painter in the song? |

 | Pure coincidence,i think. Not PS but its Joni Mitchell who was the big Georgia O`keeffe fan.She made a week long trek to her home in the New Mexico desert in 1977 to pay her respects, and remained her inspiration. Paul seemed more preoccupied with Magritte in the early 80s. |
