I recently obtained a clip in which Paul Simon and Toots Thielemans played "You´re Kind" on SNL. I can´t however, find any mention of this happening on SNL. Does anyone know if this was a different show or a date that this happened?

It was at SNL, he also played Slip Slidin` away in this show, must have been around late 1977.

.....also sings " I Do It For Your Love", with Toots, same period, 1977. Contained in the Paul Simon special video.

Again another clip with no info-

Paul Simon and Carrie fisher sang Feelin´ Groovy on stage in 1983. Does anyone know an exact date or concert in which that happened?

Does anyone know if Toots Theilmans plays the harmonica on the One Trick Pony movie mix of Jonah? About the PS and Carrie Fisher duet, might it have been recorded at a tribute show for John Belushi (if there was such a concert)? The audio tape I have of it has awful sound quality but I swear I can hear Paul say ´this song is also for John´.Maybe, but probably not.

Peter,I think I was correct about a Belushi tribute show. I had a google around and found this info ´April 17,1983,Huntingdon Hartford Theater,Hollywood California. Second City Company Benefit performance for John Belushi Scholarship Fund. Carrie Fisher,Penny Marshall,Judith Belushi etc were guests/performers´. I´m guessing of course, but can anyone verify?

Since this is an SNL kind of question, I will pose it here; is it possible to get clips of any of Paul´s comedy skits performed on SNL? Any time I see an SNL clip it is usually a musical performance. I want to experience Paul´s comedic side!

I have a lot of it on VHS but only in PAL format not NTSC. I could make a dvd up for you but I don´t think it would play on your equipment. Sorry,as there is some funny stuff there.

This can´t be correct.
On the clip, Paul said that he had just been married, and ther wedding happened in August of ´83. Also, there is no tour date for that date.

yeah I had immediate regrets the moment I posted. When were S&G´s final dates for 1983? I have not seen the video, just audio and bad quality at that.

I think he says "Joan," not "John." Horrible quality.

I think singing "Feelin Groovy", in a tribute show to a dead actor, would be a poor choice.
Paul duetted with Carrie Fisher, on FG, 27 August 1983,Dodger Stadium, L.A. California. To celebrate marriage not death
