Just a few question here about Paul´s family history that I have not been able to find in any books or articles. Maybe someone out there knows.
1. What year did Paul´s father die, and what was the cause? I think it was 1995, but I´m not really sure. I know that Art went to the funeral and it was from there they actually started talking again.
2. Does Eddie Simon have any children of his own? Are there actually kids out there who can say, "Uncle Paul?" (I wish I could!!)
3.From what country did his grandparents originate? I think his father´s side came from Austria and his grandfather was a tailor.
Just curious!
Also, I´ve always wondered what Belle Simon´s students thought of her as a teacher. Do you think they would actually remember her?

Eddie and his wife, Leslie Horan Simon, have one daughter. No idea how Old she is. But Leslies was born in 1953 and is an artist. Both Paul & Edie and Artie own some of her work.

Lousi dies=d in 1995, I know this because it was the same year I lost my beloved Grandfather. He died in the January of that year and was 75. Cause...no idea.

Paul paternal grandfather was hungarian and died young...again, of what I am unsure of. He was also a taylor. But Louis spoke little of his family and so Paul himself know or knew little.

Belle´s family I know nothing of. No idea of her students. I only know she teached Piano when Paul was you.

Louis became, I belive, a Doctor of English, later on in life, and taught this.

Well, it´s 1:25am....so I´m off to bed!!!

Hope that helps!!

Oh Callista, I suggest you to have a look on the "open biography" of this site ; I think you will find many answers..

Thank you soooo much! YOur answers were really helpful.
I DID read the open bio on this site, but it really didn´t say too much about his family....but that was also some time ago, so maybe it was updated.
Thanks again!

Hi Jocke

Lulu will be 12 this year. As for how I learnt it all. It´s just the bits and bobs I´ve picked up over the years. Either from reading books or things I´ve found on the net.

Glad it was so helpful.

Scaaty, Happy Birthday to your niece! Mine will be twelve in May, but it may as well be now :(
Good luck on turning her into a Paul fan. Both my kids ages 11 and 10 are Paul Simon fans. (Thank God!) In fact, they have been to almost all of the Paul´s concerts that I have attended. I started them out young! lol
Hope her birthday goes well!
