Is there any footage/audio of this show? I´ve been looking for a while -- There are some pictures of it on Corbis and stuff but I have never come across any audio clips of it...

Yes there is but it is very rare. There are some useful sites out there where you can find info about it but they don´t have it available ASAIK.

Bodo has a lot of links to other sites, look under MAIN.
I think you can find it at thesoundofsimon or thedreamerofmusic

As far as I remember it has a horrible sound quality... not something you need to hunt for

Yes the sound quality was so bad in the stadium, i think Paul eventually walked off stage. No wonder Nixon got in.

Well it was actually the Shea Stadium concert, August 68, in a rally for Peace candidates, that Paul walked off stage in the middle of singing "Scarborough Fair". The sound was bad, planes flew overhead, the crowd restless, and the concert badly organised. Yet Paul still went ahead and did it against his better judgement, because he believed in the cause.

Jocke, I dont there exists any foota of the Shea concert, and im sure Paul is well pleased. The Mcgovern benefit concert does but virtually impossible to obtain. Ithink the best bootlegs of this period 68_70, are hollywood bowl and Back to college. But i dont have either

jocke

maybe I sound unfriendly now - but do you have any other theme of conversation than to asking any time about _any_ thing in nearly ever thread here if he/she has this on mp3,video,cd,dvd or whatever an can send it to you?
That gets nerving now :-(
Find your 2 or 3 traders and trade with them via email as everyone does.
I think everyone knows now that you want all of these things immediately - but the fun of trading things is that you maybe need to wait sometimes a few years until you find a special item. If you do not find that funny than I offer you my collection of _everything_ for 10.000 $. Just stop asking this boring question 2 times a day :-(

Okay Jocke, I gave this hint before, there are other sites with a lot of information where you can search for yourself. Under the section MAIN on this site there are a lot of links to other sites.
I will give you a hand but the rest is up to you, go to the site of thedreamerofmusic, section "A surprising career" and there you will find the setlist among a lot of other information.

That´s not bad for 10 USD or did you neglect to put in a comma in lieu of a full stop?
I´d take up the offer Jocke.

I think dots for every 3 decimals in larger numbers are quite common in continental typography, Simon :-)

Jocke, also take a look at the bootlegs section on this page (under LIVE) - there are plenty of setlists from the 1984 tour...

Ans is correct. The McGovern concert audio is terrible quality. Not sure whether this is because the original recording was poor, the sound at the show poor or the compression and loss of quality over the years due to generation loss.I feel it is only worth having for the sake of being completist, S&G concert wise.
