 | What kind of job? You mean to say: No Thanks! to Art?
I think he has not to do that. Garfunkel knows that Paul does not want to do that, he even knows that he should not talk to Paul directly about it or he would maybe ruin their friendship again. So I think he is a really unsymphatic guy, when he is making pressure onto Paul via the media or the S&G fans. Paul said a few times in the last years that this is over now. IMO he would never compromise on something belongin music - everything is under his control - Even Brian Eno who is normaly a producer had only a very small input on the last album (I mean the last decission was always in Pauls hand). Art can not work like that, he told us in his own interview that he is doing everything (what is a little bit laughable again, because why does the new album then have a producer named NOT Art Garfunkel...) ?
Whatever, I think they can not work together - Paul will not compromise anymore, and Art thinks he is a producer and songwriter. |

 | Sure I meant No Thanks to Artie.
It was an sarcastic...;-) joke to the message of Jocke who wants Paul to write songs that fitt AG´s voice.
AG is indeed not very honest, not to himself, not to Paul and not to his fans, he thinks bigger of himself than he really is but I guess he needs that to survive in showbusiness....

 | Yes, it could be nice...These harmonies are incredibly beautiful and I Love the Old S&G songs but a new album would still be artistically meaningless...I wouldn´t want Paul to do that. The OF tour already had a bad taste for me although it was great - but I was really surprised that Paul did it. He is obviously not as stubborn as David Gilmour ;-) So, I hope Art won´t convince Paul. I can see it happen, but I´d rather like to get another PS solo record. |

 | I would Love to have a new S&G-album, if it meant they could still be friends afterwards. Why is it so horrible to wish for that?
(and I still find "Surprise" a boring and depressing album, Pauls worst) |

 | Surprise boring? No, it´s maybe difficult but not boring. Have you ever really listened to it, try it with headphones on, and listen to Paul´s music world, how the instruments flow. |
