 | Yep, it was ALF. Not a Paul Simon fan when I watched that, but a little research gives the answer to the second question too: 13th episode in the 1st season was called "Mother And Child Reunion" :-)
BTW: Both Elvis, Beatles and Billy Joel had more than one song giving title to an ALF episode - can you find them? ;-) |

 | Right. I also was not a PS fan 20 years ago - but it only was a coincidence that I finally found out about the song titles. In the german translation of ALF they also translated the episode titles - into some very lame and boring titles. I never realized that these are song titles.
The German title was : Wenn Schwiegermutter kommt - "When mother-in-law visits us"
And that title is really strange, because it was the mother of Kate - and the Mother And Child Reunion (they didn´t like each other very much) was between Kate and her. So why did they use ´mother-in-law´ for the translation.... |
