 | Do you know how many songs are completely sung by Garfunkel, and have no backing vocals of Paul? (only S&G works, of course)
I think only April Come She Will and For Emily.

 | You forgot the obvious one...
...Bridge
As far as I know there´s only Arties voice, also in the third verse. |

 | I think Paul sings on the third verse too. Isn´t that what they all argued about? Artie wanted a third verse on Bridge but Paul didn´t. Also, Artie thaught that Paul should sing the song ´cause he also had a good strong sounding falsetto back in those days. Paul on the other hand thaught that Artie doesn´t like Bridge at all... Then, when Artie got all the reputation for Bridge Paul was fed up and blew up Simon and Garfunkel...
That´s one part of their split. Surely, Garfunkel didn´t play nice either. So I don´t mean to bash Paul Simon! |

 | I agree with both Johnny and Jocke. Paul sings in the third verse: "sail on silvergirl ..."
And it´s true, they had a hard discussion because of "Bridge", althoug there were, moreover, another facts for breaking up.
One of them was "So Long". I think they had similar problems in the studio recording. Even in this song Simon sings a little bit: "Arquitects may come and..."
In the other hand Simon sing alone in Kathy´s Song (OK Jocke), but i think there are two songs more:
- A Simple Dessultory Philipic
- Song For The Asking
In "Overs" Artie sings a little part

 | Song For The Asking is a Simon solo song on the album but was occasionally sung with two voices in concert.
On "So long..." there´s even a bit where Paul Simon shouts "So long Artie". The whole album somehow foreshadows their break up... |

 | Yeah, wasn´t ´so long...´ written about garfunkel? obviously there is the ´so long artie´ bit as you mentioned, but ´architects may come and architects may go´ - garfunkel studied to be an architect. it seems cruel to make art sing it almost all by himself! I still think it´s a lovely song though. |

 | "So long Artie..." I didn´t know (Simon is the best, no dubt), but I agree: it´s a wonderful song (in a bossa nova style, or something like that.
Even, I think there is another song that Simon sings alone:
"Cuba Sà Nixon No". I have only listened this one in MP3. Although was written and recorded for Bridge could be the last drop to fill the glass...(finally was out of the album)
I couldn´t apreaciate Garfunkel´s voice in it.
If we take the concert´s versions it could be different (Simon singing April Come She Will, or Garfunkel singing Kathy´s song)

 | Rose of Aberdeen?, I never heard that song. Is it in a S&G albums?
"The Only Living Boy In New York" is surely my favourite song of the S&G period. It has Simon solist marvellous voice, but also has one of the best chorus harmonies (even it´s another example for the breaking up) |

 | Sure better than mine, but I still continue singing: we need more rain in Spain (here we say that when someone sings with a horrible voice, sure it begins to rain).
Lately, I sing "Wartime Prayers" every moment. I´m sorry for my family and my neighbourhood.
One question, wich album or compilation contains Rose of Aberdeen? |
