Yes very tru. Although your VCR maybe able to churn out an NTSC signal, you will also need a telly that can transcode and replay the signal properly. However.....all this is by the by in this case, because these videos are all definately PAL. :-)))

And Bodo....help. For some reason I can no longer do stuff on the site. I keep being told that my password is wrong when I log in. However it is definately correct. I have even had it sent to my email address to confirm. On the main screen it also says I am logged in, but...well....I´m stuffed really. I can´t add a new Fourm topic (some may say that is a good thing!) and I can´t get into excessive fans to upload more music. (Whcih most will think a bad thing!) Hilfe.

As I have said in my posts, I bought one. I also have a DVD player but that cannot play my Old VHS tapes or record from the TV. At the time DVD recorders were very expensive.

I have 100s of VHS tapes including about a dozen Paul Simon and S&G and I was not about to throw them all out. Some of them are NTSC and most are PAL but it plays them without me even thinking about it.

I wish I had loads of Paul Simon tapes...! We have a video player, so I hope I could be able to get a copy of some PS videos (like One-Trick Pony... has anyone seen it, is it good? I have the album but what´s the film like?) but I don´t know if they will work. Our Old videos (from when DVD´s where practically new! It seems like ages ago) work but...?

I know it kind of got panned, but I liked "OTP". I thought Paul and his band members did a credible job.

I can include it as well. I´ve just found it at the back of the cupboard!!! So thats 5 PS tapes. Oh by the way, Kat......so, it´s crap. But then we´ll watch anything with Paul in it and Love it won´t we. Even if he is dressed as a chicken.

Definitely! I saw a picture of that, I didn´t know it was from OTP! I like ´Oh Marion´ and of course the title track, as well as Late in the eving (of course!) and that´s why god made the movies. Stranded In A Limousine makes me laugh, especially the ´whahwhawhahwa´ bit! Sorry, I have been listening to it a lot lately as I got it for Christmas... as well as his biography and a DVD of the Graceland tour! :)

Oh sorry Kat, Paul dressed as a chicken is from Saturday Night Live, not OTP. I just compared Paul dressed as a 5ft bird and OTP because I firmly believe both to be utter crap. But I know I will get lynched by others who are equally firm in their belief taht watching Paul dreesed up as a Thanksgiving Turkey and telling everyone that he dosn´t take himself tooooo seriously is just not funny. However I digress....in OTP Paul is never dressed as a chicken. OTP is still a poor movie though, IMO.

Good! I was kind of wondering what kind of movie it would be if Paul was wondering around dressed as a chicken. I´m going to have to see this saturday night live episode! Sorry for the mistake about OTP. I think they definitely make him look taller than he is on the back cover of the album though :P

Kat - you must have the remastered One-Trick Pony album as Stranded In A Limousine was not on that album. It was originally one of two new tracks on the Greatest Hits, Etc album (Slip Slidin´ Away was the second)

Anyway - someone has to buy David´s five VHS tapes and get themselves a VHS video so you can watch them. OTP film is worth seeing once just so you know what the fuss is all about. The others, especially the Concert In The Park are amazing and you´ll watch them many times.

Allegedly it is around 750,000. I don´t know where I get that figure from, but it´s one that I always believe that this concert attracted. I think it was a free concert, and anybody could turn up. Therefore no exact figures are known. Of course this could all be bulls... because I am speaking from a memory that is rapidly getting older!! Anybody know any facts?

Ok everybody, I have two more videos to add!!! These are not official videos however, just compilations of stuff. One, will please you KAT, a compilation of SNL! Although I can´t remember exactly what´s on the tape, and I can´t check, ´cause I don´t have a recorder anymore.

The other tape is a "highlights" tape, including Grammys 2001, CNN report about Capeman, Paul on Oprah, German interview about the 2002 tour, VH1 Storytellers, Tribute to Heroes - Bridge, Toronto 2001 Pigs Sheep And Wolves, MTV Unplugged, Muppet Show, A BBC Special and finaly the Video for Proof.

Like I said, I can´t check the quality, because I no longer have a VCR, but I´m sure it´s fine.

So in addition to the videos as advertised on ebay I also have One Trick Pony (Not great quality but crap film anyway so the quality doesn´t actually make it worse!), the two tapes as mentioned and the concert at the tower 1980 (NTSC).

And somewhere I have the Live In San Sebastian Graceland concert from 1988 but I´m buggered if I can find it at the moment. That´s the entire concert, so be good if could!

Anyway, like I say, if I don´t get any bids for these tapes on ebay I will give them away on this site. Just pay shipping! But if the auction gets bids, obviously I will have to sell to the highest bidder on ebay. So if in doubt, bid (pulleeeassse!!)
