A GUITAR signed by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel will go on sale on internet auction site eBay to raise money for street children in East Timor.
Prime Minister Jose Ramos-Horta put the Squier Bullet electric guitar up for sale.
"I hope it will raise thousands of dollars,´´ said Mr Ramos-Horta, who bought the guitar in Memphis.
"I will give all the proceeds to the Street Children´s Association of Dili,´´ he said.
The guitar will be listed on eBay from today, with bidding to close on January 26, 2007.
Simon and Garfunkel had a string of hits in the 1960s and are best known for The Sound of Silence, Mrs Robinson and Bridge Over Troubled Water. |
