 | Here´s hope Paul lands a Grammy nomination for Surprise. It´s certainly deserved. Nominations are announced 7 December in LA. |

 | You´re The One Was nominated and he performed at the ceremony. I think ROTS was also nominated and Graceland won, of course as well as winning a BRIT award.
Let´s hope he gets a nomination for Surprise as it will boost sales. |

 | I´m afraid it´ll come to a toss up between Dylan and Paul and they´ll go with Dylan. "Modern Times" is the most pathetically over rated album ever. |

 | No go for Paul. :(
I really am so dissapointed. The albums nominated are absolute rubbish other that John Mayer´s Continuum. Can´t believe Justin Timberlake´s perverse nonsense got an album of the year nomination! So, so sad. |

 | Well - on the other side the rest of the world would not understand why an absolute ´unknown´ album should be nominated... |

 | I know what you mean Bodo but it´s about the BEST album right? It´s not a popularity contest. That´s what the MTV Music Awards, American Music Awards and the hundreds of other popularity contests are for. The Grammys are meant to be about music, irrespective of how popular (or unknown) it is. |

 | It isn´t supposed to be a popularity contest...if it was we would all have a vote. |

At least some of us recogise that Paul should have been nominated, but maybe he wouldn´t want to be the insipid group that was nominated. |

 | <<Paul Simon`s excellent `Surpriseâ? was ` no surprise ` completely ignored. It was the most sophisticated and well-composed album of the year, but probably only a handful of adults heard it.>>
Very complimentary about the album but I wouldn´t call 800,000 copies "a handful" |
