I don´t think Paul Simon has sung American Tune at a solo concert for many years. It is Art Garfunkel who sings American Tune as part of his set.

Yes, this DVD 2000 is from Paris made out of two shows and then an additional day. Great as his shows in 2002 and 2006.

On record: Live rhymin` 1974 and
Greatest Hits etc. 1977 (Live version, hard to find, not released by Warners).

The studio version on There goes rhymin` Simon 1973, co-produced by Cat Stevens Producer Paul Samwell-Smith, is too sweet for me.

It is one of the very few songs suited also for Simon and Garfunkel.

I have paul singing American Tune on my digital camera from the S&G concert in Dublin in2004 but its very llarge for uploading. Also it shows Paul on a big screen not in real life.

My camera also produces incredible large files... I had to compress it again with divx until I could upload it. It helps when you change the frame rate from 30 to 15...well 15 is not much but it is okay for filming someone who stands there and sings, and you save 50% on file sizee. 30 frames is way too much (they should allow 20 frames, that would be optimal)
