 | Tickets: $15. Go to http://www.virtuous.com or call 256-7750. The show is open to ages 18 and older.
Why is a Edie Brickell concert only open to people 18 or older?
What does she do there.... ;-) |

 | Some bars - or other venues where alcohol is served - allow those over eighteen in, but restrict the sale of alcohol to those over 21, usually by providing them with wristbands upon entry. |

 | It depends on where the bar is...in some states it´s 21 and others 18. |

 | In California, I saw a couple of lads in military uniform being refused entry to a bar. Amazing - you can kill others for your country at 17/18, yet you can´t drink til you´re 21!! Wouldn´t work here, i can tell you. |

 | Oh, right. It´s 21 in the states. I was thinking about Canada. Our legal drinking age is 19, right Canadians? |

 | It depends on the province. In Quebec, it´s 18, which means that lots of young Ottawans cross into Gatineau for a drink. |

 | yes, it´s also 18 in alberta and possibly in some other provinces too. unfortuanetly it´s 19 here in bc, so for the next two years i´ll continue to miss out on great artists that only appear in bars. |

 | While I support the idea that only people over the age of 18 should be allowed to drink alcohol, I think they should allow younger people to have access at concerts.
(I think 21 is too much... in my country the age is 16 - but in reality it is easy for younger people to drink something)
But (I guess) you are allowed to come in if you visit the concert with another person older than 18?

 | There´s a big drinking problem with youngsters in the UK. It´s cheaper and easier to obtain than drugs... |

 | Nither is good Bodo. Some are as young as 10 and at a young age your liver is easily damaged. They don´t just drink a little, they end up in casualty. |
