Does anyone know where I can get hold of some Paul Simon bootleg albums? I have found loads of sites that have lists of bootleg cds available but not one that actually sells any.

For some reason I am flying the Stars & Stripes above, I should be flying The mighty Union Jack. I,m a Brit born and bred. So if you have any sites for me regarding bootleg cds, UK sites would be best, cheers.

Hi Mr. B, welcome to this wonderful site with a great forum.
In another thread it is asked that requests like this ("where can I find this or that bootleg") is kept in one thread. So in the future you would please the Old-timers around here, if you check out other threads for alike subjects before posting a question (in general that´s a good idea on forums - so that they are not flooded with new threads...).

However, since you are new and surely wasn´t aware of this, and because this question probably has relevance for a lot of newcomers on the site, I will do my best to answer it here:

http://www.dimeadozen.org

A great site where a lot of new live music (and older bootlegs), not officially released, are available via torrents. They have a maximum member count of 100.000 which is pretty much always reached, but if you check by there a couple of times a day, you should get lucky within a few weeks. Once you are in, you will have access to tons of great live recordings, including PS and S&G. They are only there as long as the torrent is active, but everything is pretty much re-posted regularly.

Start trading! Finding sites where you can meet other traders, or traders own sites is not hard! Of course, if you have nothing to trade with, if might be a bit difficult, though some traders actually offers to get you started just by recieving payment for cd´s and postage. Don´t offer traders money, that is not considered cool!

In spite of all this there ARE a few sites offering bootlegs for sale. It is NOT legal, and amongst traders they mostly are considered a big no-no, but IMO they are a good place for a new trader to get started, so here it is:

http://www.cd-gold.co.jp/

http://www.midnightrecords.com/

http://silverdisc.netfirms.com/

I think all those three sites are pretty reliable, though I only tried the first one myself. That was for buying the "Songs of America" video, which I at that time had not been able to find elsewhere. The transaction went fine, but in general I don´t like the idea of people making money on this stuff...

I reccomend getting in on dime, and you will have plenty of boots in no time :-)

Cheers Soren for this top info and sorry for the basic schoolboy error of posting a question that as been asked a thousand times already, wont happen again. Mr B

Now I am asking too :-) Does anyone have one of the UK shows (London) for trade? I have read that someone has the Birmingham concert on his walkman...but he/she was anonyme.

Ok, seems as if none of them appeared.

Another bootleg question - does someone have one of the 2001 spring concerts (Texas tour) ?
I would really need that, it´s very important (I will tell you why if you write me)
