 | I know someone who goes to every concert she can get too no matter who is playing, (except paul) and she always gives out if the singer sings less well known songs. She gives out about people like me who want these - she thinks we´re elitist. |

 | I think we are lucky that he sings songs like Train In The Distance, Gumboots, You´re The One, etc. and a few new songs. I was thrilled to hear ´How Can You Live In The Northeast´ and the ´wall of sound´ coda at the end was totally awesome. (Why is he wearing his father´s Old coat?)
Compare this to Art Garfunkel´s concerts. Just over an hour rather than just over 2 hours - 80% Simon and Garfunkel songs, plus a couple of tuneless numbers he has written himself, a bad poem and even worse jokes that we have all heard before. |

 | There´s a saying you know and it´s very true..."You can please some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time"
Personally I was just pleased to see him in concert. |

 | Paul Simons father died in 1995 - it was a very hard loos for him.
Now he has all 3 generations (his mother, himself and Edie, and his children - finally a happy family life) - and he is wearing his fathers Old coat to remember him.
I Love that line, and I believe that he is really wearing his fathers old coat sometimes. Very personal...the most personal line in that song for me. |

 | I enjoy that line also. I remember driving from Houston to Nwe Orleans, so excited to see Paul.
When I got there, it was a field and a stage, meaning the earlier you got there the closer you got. I realized that and told my wife, please go to the bathroom and there will be no going to the concession stands.
She was confused but I explained we go to the stage now and not move, of course it was raining.
I remember standing there so close when he came out and people cheering when he plyed the Old stuff.
Then came "How Can You Live in the North East".
I liked it, but it was new. Everybody around me was not absorbed in the show..
Then came the line about "I have plnated etc." everybody became alert. Exactly what did he mean? Now I know. |
