 | I loved the tour and danced my heart out at the concert but...ther obviously could be more!
1. Why didn´t Simon play Hurricane Eye? Lyrically he has mastered what people think and care about, musically he grabs what everyone cares about, Patterns, rythms.
2. Where was Senorita With A Necklace Of Tears. Wow, that was a good song but will never be heard and WAY undervalued.
3. Thelma rocks. Where was Rythm of the Saints??? Obvious Child! You really should have worked that in.
4. What about Paranoia Blues? Wow. That would have been cool.
5. Anything from Hearts And Bones. What a killer album. It would have been cool to play Train In The Distance!
I could go on and on, but was glad to see the new tour so won´t complain so bad.... |

 | I forgot one thing!
The Cape Man is one of the coolest albums I´ve ever heard. I´ve got two copies with one full of scratches.
Interestingly I can´t find Simon promoting that album, cant find any live recordings, or anything!!
Strange.
But this one will go down in history. I´ll bet money. |

 | Hi Michael. All interesting, but unfortunately quite unrealistic wishes. He is probably not gonna play a lot of YTO songs live, and he might feel, that the ROTS songs take a bigger band to do them justice. Your 5th comment is a little strange, though - as he did exactly that, play Train In The Distance ;-) |

 | the answer is easy, he can not play so many songs with fast rhythms - or people will start to dance... that should not happen I have learned here, because there is NO connection between music and dancing
sure, he played Train In The Distance, but i guess not for michael - because it has only been add for the last 10 or less shows
in june people got 20 songs
in november 25 songs....
for playing the capeman songs he needs another band, more horns, percussions and puerto rican background voices...except for Trailways Bus |

Oh, of course. I guess the flag should have indicated to me, that you were talking about the american tour, and that you therefore were very unlikely to get to hear that great song. A pitty you missed that one, Michael, it was fantastic - especially as it quite rare that you get a wish for a rarity like that fulfilled. |

Maybe Paul should do two nights in every place and the first night he plays the setlist that he did on this tour and the second night he plays this setlist.
If you go to two shows at the same place it costs say £/$75 but if you just go to one show it costs £50
It´d be the "Poet and a Two Night Stand tour"
Would be amazing! |

 | Man that is an awesome set list. I´d like Once Upon a Time added and That´s Me.
If many of his songs are too hard to play live, then I wish he would do a TV special or something to combine his more complicated (often meaning more artistic) stuff. |

 | That is a setlist for hardcore fans. Most people that go want to see him play his hits with maybe a few new songs. For better or worse.. |

 | Jepp - and time should come when he is doing such a hardcore setlist.
Most people at the concerts I have seen visit their 1th and only one concert ever...and he is always just pleasing these people, never his fans. :-) |
