First of all I think my meaning is being lost and misconstrued. I do NOT think that as a standee I have more right to enjoy the show, but it is an arena and hardly designed to be a sit and listen venue. I mean that statement sounds almost ridiculous. Sit and listen. That can be done at home. It is a difficult issue to gauge, but it is a rock concert and we`ll never know the percentages of who stood and danced or who simply sat.

Paul is (reluctantly) lumped in with the likes of the Stones and Dylan who are constantly labelled as Stadium Rock. Jumping, dancing, cheering, clapping and singing along are all synonymous with this music.

Would Paul want people to sit as he blows that room away?

As a side note, I have a bad back and bad knees, but I wasn`t going to let that inhibit my enjoyment. My knees particularly ache as I write this.

Bodo, perhaps you are the one being childish. Did I say that everyone has to sit? No.

You have stated that people who want to sit are boring or Old at heart. Of course, you are entitled to your opinion, but in my opinion that is an unfair way to judge people. That was my point.

I just think it is too simplistic to claim that people who sit are less interesting or have less interest or have less right to be at a show.

And I think your statement that someone sitting in front of you "destroys" your enjoyment, that is pretty funny. If so, then you should instead buy the DVD, put it on your TV and dance as much as you want. Maybe in front of a mirror, so then you will only see dancing people.

Bodo, you don´t get the point of Jeroen. And Jeroen is right. In Manchester, I watched the show from a distance of 5 meters, and I did NOT dance at all. Like you, I´m a big fan. But I was only watching. Watching everything, which was so close to me an I really had a very great time. Why didn´t I dance? Because dancing I can do at home by putting on his records or other music. So indeed, everyone spends the time on a concert different and it had nothing to do with your statement that if you don´t dance, you don´t enjoy. I hope you understand this now. Jeroen, I totally agree with you, and not because you are also from myu own country. Regards

But Bodo, although I do not agree on your opinion about sitting people not enyoing the show, I must say again that you have a very good website! Thanks for all the information and links etc

The question is:
Can people who dance accept people which do not?
Yes

Can people who sit accept people which dance?
No (thats my experience)

Did people who have been dancing enjoy the show?
I saw only smiling people, gaving everyone around them a hugh.

Did people who urged the other to sit enjoy the show?
I saw many which looked angry all the time, and destroyed the joy for others.

I saw also people who sat there and smiled. So you belong to this group.
You wrote that you sat 5 meters away from the stage and sat there all the time - so I guess no one was dancing at this show, because they would have been dancing in front of you?

I made a poll now. Seems to me everything has said and I only repeat myself.

There is a bootleg DVD of this London concert for sale on ebay at the moment. Not sure if this has been mentioned in this posting.Worth a look anyway. At least we know there is one out there. From the picture on the cover this might be a reasonably close and quite good quality effort.

Sadly it´s not from the Wembly Arena but from the intimate BBC concert nov. 5th with no bonustracks.
