 | I know that this a Paul Simon forum, but I am so happy that I want to share this with you. If this is not appropriate, one of the mods or Bodo can delete this post.
I just bought tickets for The Doors ! Off course Jim Morrison is dead but Ray Manzarek (organ) and Robbie Krieger (guitar) are on tour together with Ian Astbory (singer from The Cult) and they stop in my town next year. In a very small location where one is still alowed to smoke (...) ! One of my dreams come true !! I own a live dvd from 2001 (vh1 storytellers) and they still sound like the band I was listening to all the times in my younger and smokier years. This was just before I discovered Paul Simon, by the way.
There is no big advertising of the tour (yet) so I just saw by coincident that they are going to play in my favourite concert-location (the Volkshaus in Zurich Switzerland, by the way). I still cannot believe it and I so look forward to this concert.
Now I just hope that Paul decides to move his *ss to central europe as well, then I am probably the happiest guy in this forum :o)
If someone had told me a few years ago that I am going to see Simon & Garfunkel and The Doors live...I would have laughed and cried at the same time..but now it´s coming true ! (Oops, I almost forgot Pink Floyd and Rolling Stones :o)
Now I even consider to start praying that Paul will come next year too ;o).

 | Hi Kuno, thats great for you - maybe off topic but there are many things off topic on this forum, aren´t they ;-)
(I can not moan around about bands do not having their lead singer anymore and touring again, because I enjoyed the Queen show so much last year)
I just hope that one day Garfunkel will not start his own "Simon and Garfunkel" tour... that would be painfull. |
