Anyone care to speculate about the BBC show? Will it be a Bruce Springsteen affair and be broadcast on digital? Who is the audience tonight? I didn´t win tickets - did any Paul Simon fans? Still I´ll be there at Wembley!
I wish PaulSimon.com would come through and reward us die hards with things like this though. And I would class myself as a die hard - Hearts And Bones is my fave solo album!

The first time I hear anything about a BBC show

Or is it the Abey Road studios performance?

Its been mentioned in a previous thread Bodo - but here it is:
You and a friend could be in with a chance to catch singer/songwriter Paul Simon at an exclusive and intimate BBC session in London this weekend.

Paul Simon is recording a BBC session in London this Sunday to an audience of just 300 people and Sound Generator has a pair of tickets to give aay in the next 48 hours to the event. All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets is send us an email at [email protected] stating your name, the name of the friend you wish to bring, and your postcode.

You will need to be over the age of 18, and able to be in London, UK, by 7pm on Sunday 5th November (please note that travel expenses are not included in the prize).

If you are successful, you will be emailed in advance. This email will be your ticket and must be brought to the venue along with a document of identification.

I think you mean the BBC show aired live at BBC 2 in May 2006 - it is history. Bootlegs are available.

Totaly missed that.
Paul seems to be very busy these days here in the UK. Parkinson show, concerts, BBC show...

But why did they do another ´intimitate´ show just now, 6 months after the first one, and again at the BBC?
He could promote his album in other countries too a little bit, not only UK and on the BBC ...

Well Parkinson is on ITV now as Michael Parkinson got upset that the BBC were showing his programme too early because of the football highlights :)

I think that this new intimate show was recorded for TV instead of radio and it will be shown on our digital interactive services. Elton John, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Scissor Sisters have all done one so far this year.

I entered this competition, of course, and didn´t win again, of course!, it looks as though the audience was probably made up of people who *know* someone who works for the BBC and people who live in the London area :(

Well, thats the best audience...at least they maybe knew the lyrics for The Boxer or Bridge...haha :-)

But who else should be in that audience...maybe they have just filled it up with people which have been standing around in the floors of the building? How nice to offer 2 (TWO) tickets to the fans too.
