Did anybody pick up any of the free CDR´s which should have been on everybody´s seats last night? My son was given a handful of them, some of which we gave out to people. It plays Northeast, then gives you access to two videos - but you can view them by going to http://www.paulsimonlive.co.uk and just enter your name and email (and watch the baby´s eyes!). The CD´s should be given out at each concert - unless it was just the M.E.N.

For a man who writes such eloquent and amazing lyrics, he´s not so great with the words. It would have been nice for him to speak to us a bit more!
But gr8 concert, all the Old favourites, and gr8 arrangements of BOTW and Diamonds!! And the most powerful version of Wartime Prayers I´ve heard...such feeling in his voice! And there was something strangely poignant about Homeward Bound bearing in mind how close he was to where he originally wrote it!

It is a known fact that Simon does not speak during concerts, although still fans come up and moan about it. (the famous sentence :Say a few words are dated back now to 1980)

But it is not a failure of Simon, he explained it in an interview some years back: He does not want to be an entertainer and tell jokes or speak a few sentences in foreign languages (not the case here I know), because the important thing about his shows is the music.

I do not enjoy what Art Garfunkel is doing, telling the same jokes every night since 30 years now - this kind of entertainment belongs to Artie and Simon and Garfunkel (and Simon was so nice to play this game too on the last S&G tour). I really do not like that, the next day in the newspapers half of the article is filled with the chattering between the songs, and how funny it was - and no one really talks about the music.

If I want to hear someone talking I will go to a cabarett.
If the show is only 2 hours long then I am glad Paul is doing 25 songs in that time, and not 18 songs and 25 minutes telling useless stories every night.
