 | I do not know any of these artist (including Paul Zollo), but I know 1 person from that list - Arthur Garr ...
Hm.. couldn´t there be any more ´real´ stars to celebrate Paul Simons music? ... :-( | | | | Ans Oct-10-2006, 08:07 GMT

 | Paul Zollo is the famous music journalist who interviewed music stars like Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and others for "Songtalk" among other books he wrote the book "Songwriters on songwriting".

 | I think it´s a nice idea from Paul Zollo, this tribute for Paul´s birthday, that there are no "real stars" doesn´t matter, it´s about the influence Paul had on many artists, including "real stars".

 | Sure, but he had an influence on so many famous names like Marc Anthony, John Mayer, LBM... I wish there would be a celebration for Paul one day aired on TV, with all these stars - including people like Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Art Garfunkel, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel... all his famous friends - to show how important Paul really is. Not just many "unknown" people performing PS songs at a event somewhere near nowhere (we will never hear this concert I guess....)

 | 2001 and 2002 were good celebration years for Paul. Musicares person of the year, honoured by Chevy Chase, Elton John, Gloria Estefan, Stevie Wonder and others. The Induction as a solo artist in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with the cool speech of Marc Anthony (that they were put into seperate whitness protection programs after the Capeman...;-) Dion and Marc Anthony sharing the stage with Paul at Me and Julio. 2002 The Kennedy Center Honors with many stars, James Taylor, Allison Kraus, The Dixie Hummingbirds, Alicia Keys, John Mellencamp and the fabulous speech of Steve Martin. And recently Paul was honoured at the Montreal Jazz Fest.
But I´m in for another celebration with all of his famous friends, aired and put on DVD if possible...;-) | | | | matthewsemple Oct-12-2006, 21:35 GMT

 | For those unable to see this show, the musicians ranged from excellent to well intentioned. The covers all interesting. It was a warm, heartfelt evening, especially on the part of the host,PZ, who also shared stories about PS all night. It may be released as a dvd- and it would be worth it for the stories alone. | | | | Ans Oct-13-2006, 14:52 GMT
