 | Alain from the french forum had a nice idea and I want to tell you about it today.
We could design our own "The neck of my guitar" T-shirt, which people can wear at the next concerts - to find each other, or just to show we are a group. And to find out the best design there should be a contest.
Everyone can design their own shirt and then upload their design, and then we make a poll to vote for the best T-shirt. (Please upload your shirts into the Gallery ´other pictures´)
I remember this was made years agon on AMPS by Madeleine. I have found the thread here
http://groups.google.de/group/alt.music.paul-simon /browse_frm/thread/94ed074d81538ece/36991edb486cdf 73?lnk=gst&q=amps+t-shirt&rnum=1#36991edb4 86cdf73
But I could not find out the companys name where she acutally sold the shirts.
(There are some interent companies where you can design your own shirt, and then people worldwide can order them. The T-shirts price is then about 15US$ + shipping to your home)
The T-shirts can have a back and front design. Somewhere the lines:
http://www.paul-simon.info
-------------------
The neck of my guitar
should appear (or another design, logo)
My own idea is to make a ´fake´ of the original sold Surprise T-shirts (900 sit up´s a day) with the line:
"900 Simon song´s a day"
People will maybe ask at the merchandise shop then where they have this shirt :-)
I will look for some online stores again, all I have found at the moment is
e-shirt.com , but for European people it would be better to have a store in the UK (to save postage and delivery time) |

 | Great idea Bodo!!!
It would be nice to wear it for the next French forum meeting...because for a concert in France, it is dead... |

 | The problem would be that this site is written in french - not easy to order there for people who can not speak french.
e-shirt.com is okay, shipping worldwide does cost 11,90 US$, a shirt costs around 20$ (You can choose from about 10 different T-shirt styles and 4-10 colors. the only problem is that everyone can decide for his own color when ordering. (or this is also good?) |

 | Anyone can find his way to print it on a tee shirt. But I think the first (and longer) stage is to create the image...
I don´t feel very creative now, but I will vote !! |

What software do you use to create your pictures???

I think it would be easier if we can order it online somewhere, because then we really all have
the same shirt. |

 | Sure Bodo. But what I meant is: the most difficult is to create a good picture/text ! |

 | I´m agree with Mapa, Bodo : the first step is to find the logo. Then, with it, we could manage to have our t-shirts (or anything esle we want to)printed. |

 | Ok (but we have very creative people here)
Another thing is - are really a lot of people interested in such a T-shirt? I mean, if only 4 people want it then it is not worth all of that work... :-)

 | Even if they don´t want a t-shirt, we can work on this logo all the same : it could be used for your site for exemple. |
