Paul happens to be playing in Minneapolis on Oct. 12 (the day before his 65th birthday), and I´ve been thinking about bringing a present to the show. Any ideas???

It has to be something small enough to take into the theater, and I´d like it to be something he´d actually want.

A 100 dollar bill...

Or even better, give him a S&G Best of-Album, these are always great for birthday gifts.

just kidding...

Why don´t you write him a letter ?
And if you do so, don´t forget to mention this homepage :o)

If the letter is not too long(maybe kind of a birthday card) and you can manage that he receives the card, I could imagine that he will read it after the show.

Chocolate!

Love and respect? A card explaining how special he is? You could make it personal; write exactly why Paul´s music means so much to you and how much he has changed/influenced your life?

I was thinking about doing that too, but I can´t think of anything to give him.

I think we should orchestrate the audience singing happy birthday to him.

Davidb,

How close are your seats? Were you planning to get to the theatre early to try to talk with one of the other musicians or PS? How were you planning to deliver whatever you want to give him?

My seats are at the front of the balcony, so I was planning on hanging a banner that says "Happy Birthday Paul. I brought you a present" and hope for the best.

It´s probably not the greatest master plan in the world, but my wife wants to have a nice dinner before the show, so we probably won´t be getting to the theater early.

DavidB and Lekornee,
Were either of you the "yahoos" shouting out "Happy Birthday" as mentioned in the review? :)
