I visit the site but never posted. I finally figured i´d join. Thank you so much Bodo for running a real Paul Simon website where something actually is happening. My computer name is usually scaaty, but of course no Surprise thats´ taken at a PS site. If my Irish counterpart permits - I´ll be mscaaty - m for mary jane or massachusetts and scaaty because I am.

Hi

Is there any way to travel from London to Bournemouth cheaper than 88 Pounds?
I can fly cheaper from austria to London...than treveling to a city close to London...

There is indeed. Try http://www.thetrainline.com . As far as I can see, you should be able to get a return ticket for under 20£!

Hm, I am not able to find that ticket for 20 Pounds.
20 for 1 way?

from Stansted Airport to Bournemouth I could only find a 2way ticket for 88 Pounds. Thats around 130 Euros...nor really cheap for a travel by train :-(

Hi Bodo. Well I did forget the expensive train from Stansted to London city. 88 still sounds like too much. I searched for a return from London Euston in the beginning of November and found one for £17.40. I think the Stansted express is about £30 return, so you should be able to do it for under £50, still.
I just did the search from Euston again. Take a look:
