Anybody will agree to that !

But what I am annoyed about is that there are so few songs from Surprise on this Tour which after all is supposed to promote it...

The whole setlist is not that good IMO. Ofcourse Mrs. Robinson, You Can Call Me Al, Graceland etc. are good songs but itīs always those songs... Whatīs wrong with Silent Eyes, Train In The Distance, All Around The World or maybe Papa Hobo. Itīs great to see Duncan in the list though but I wish mr. Simon would take more chances.

Yeah, he could play a little bit longer, but I guess the 2hours are now his max-limit.
Also in 2002 he only played 2 hours (but definately the first few shows where he only played 20 songs have been too short...now 22, thats okay...

I wish he would have add more songs from Surprise, but he is afraid I guess

Itīs the lame audience we should blame... most do not know songs like Duncan. They want Diamonds, and if it is not the exact same version than on the CD they moan around :-)

Yes, I remember that the Rotterdam gig in 2002 (???) was about 2,5 hours. I never liked Surprise (duck) that much so 3 Surprise songs is ok for me.

I have to disagree with you there Bodo. Iīve seen Springsteen live a couple of times and everytime the setlist changes and itīs never a greatest hits show. 4 Graceland songs are bit to much for me

Bodo, which audience you are talking about? For a S&G concert,I would agree with you , but I believe and hope that Paul Simonīs fans will Love both Old favorites like Duncan or Slip Sliding Away as well as new songs.
How can you call your Tour īSurpriseī and play only 4 songs from the CD ?

Or maybe it is a joke, and that is the surprise...

A more logical explanation would be which band is backing Paul on stage ... nevertheless I found it frustating.

No Manus, your memory included maybe a lot of waiting time and the time to leave the stadion.

The concert was 122 minutes long, 2 hours and 2 minutes.

Although in Liverpool he played 10 minutes longer (132 min)... he liked the people there.

This years concert in Milwaukee was only 104 minutes long, but later he added 2 songs and came to ~120 minutes (including 3th encore break).

You should listen more Surprise songs :-)

The PS audience Natacha. We are his extreme fans and know every song - but before that (including me) I only knew Graceland, ROTS and the 1993 PS box which included another few hits like Late In The Evening, 50ways, Kodachrome... So I also wouldnīt have known any other songs.

The major audience only knows the hits (and the artists is to blame for that because he released too many compilations with his hits)

At a S&G concert I think the audience even knows more songs, because S&g only released 5 albums...and there was enough time now to buy them while S&G did not do anything.

It is like me going to a U2 concert, I have about half of there albums...but when they play a song from their early releases I enjo the light show more than the song :-)
I guess most of the PS concert visitors only have Graceland and another compilation maybe.

I guess I did include the waiting in line time. I hope you donīt know that stuff by heart.

Iīll take your advice on Surprise. Iīm listening right now as a matter of fact.

I also agree (damn, Iīm on agreeing mode) on what you said about all the compilation albums, but I do hope that Simon will have the guts again to include other songs to the songlist īcause īDiamondsī and īLate In The Eveningī are overperformed (is that an actual word? I donīt know, Iīm Dutch :))

Yes, you are right - I suppose I tend to mix what I want with the harsh reality of our consumerīs society...

LOL, no I do not know it by heart. I had to look now, because I knew at 1 show in 2002 (Liverpool) he played a little bit longer. I was not sure anymore what concert this was.

I found that heīs always singing the same songs since 2000 over and over (exept ROTS songs, wich, as we said a lot of times, is Outrageous!)
I mean: slip slidinī, me and julio, mrs robinson, Loves Me Like A Rock, That Was Your Mother... this is usual PS live stuff..
