Actually, folks in the US have different words for the same things also, and different "accents" or "dialects" for the same words. Therefore, I think I´ve heard PS say "mom" (or "mum," as you believe you heard), though I heard it as "mom" with a New York accent). Whatever! I think I´ll lay low for awhile now.
