Just saw the news entry about this DVD. I can´t believe what I read but it´s there. Not only did Paul sing 3 songs with Artie he also sang a duet with my other favorite musician songwriter, Jimmy Buffet! I´ve always thought it would be fun to hear those two sing together since I enjoy them both so much and I guess I´m going to get my wish! Maybe they could write a few songs together. Jimmy songs have a lot of diferent rhythyms too. Wow what a great year this is turning out to be!

On my itunes it lists him as pop/rock on some songs and country on others. I refer to his music as beach/party music. At least I want to party when I listen to the music. Just fun music.

I think beach music describes it best. It is very happy, get up and dance music. I saw him in concert at the New Orleans festival the day before Paul performed. It was an extremely large and very happy group of dancing, singing, parrot-heads that enjoyed his concert.

I like Jimmy Buffett, also...It´s Key West..island... music...upbeat...His most famous song is "Margaritaville"...also "Cheeseburger in Paradise"..His following are called Parrotheads.....and people dress up crazy for his concerts...Hawaiian shirts...crazy hats....He got together with a country singer a year or so ago, Alan Jackson, and they won a Grammy for "It´s 5 o´clock Somewhere"...Buffett joked that he had to go country to get an award...it was his first Grammy...He is very popular in the US.....He has written books...and had his own airplane....The last concert I attended of his he was in his barefeet...always wears shorts...Try out some of his stuff...very cool...Great beach music!...

That is true about him having to go country. He has produced 33 albums but very few big hits as he, like Paul now, doesn´t fit into a neat category for radio station play. I did see he has his own Radio Station on Sirius Satellite Radio called Radio Margaritaville. I think we should have an all Simon, all the time radio station too! How about Rhymin´ Simon Radio?

I so like Jimmy´s song: A Pirate Looks At 40 !!

I first knew Jack Johnson´s cover version of this song, which is also great...but Jimmy´s version is way better...a simple, but great song !!
Looking forward to this DVD !
