 | In the 26 YEAR period from 1979-2005 (i.e. several careers for most), we only get one song not on Graceland, You´re The One. Seems odd. That being said, I can´t wait to see the show! Maybe he should just spend the first half of the show playing the entire Graceland album from start to finish (hell, even try some crazy arrangement of Homeless - after all, the demo is cool) - that would be fun and different. |

 | Some comments to make about this...everywhere I read a review of ´Surprise´...always mentions that it´s his best since ´Graceland´...which was his best, reviewers say...(I don´t feel this..but many normal reviewers say that)...and when you see the band...they do great with the ´Graceland´ sound..the accordian...2 drummers....I think Paul thought a great deal about how the songs would flow...one from the other..introduce 4 songs from the new album...and intersperse with what the band was capable of best playing...and what also would convey the tone and feel of this tour....He got a lot of criticism for playing too many songs from ´You´re The One´ during that tour....and although all of us have at least one copy of ´Surprise´...mostconcert goers, I found out last night, do not yet have it...I didn´t sit around anyone who already had ´Surprise´ .... I really didn´t expect more than 4 songs from the CD...some are difficult without the sonic landscaping, anyway...difficult for live performance...When you see the band...you will understand how well the ´Graceland´ CD fits into the regimen of the concert setlist.....What tone did he wish to convey with this tour?...It´s difficult to describe tone when writing a review...but you will see when you attend the concert that Paul made perfect choices to convey the feelings and thoughts he wishes to at this point...To me..this transends having songs from each of his eras...each of his CD´s...or each of his decades...He is more than all of that put together....Just wait...You will see that it works....Really a great concert.....Will be interested in reading your reactions after you have been.....Enjoy! |

 | I´ll report back after Milwaukee, sure I´ll have a blast. Hell, I´m in the third row center. He could play Cars Are Cars 20 times in a row and I´d still probably have fun.

 | Maybe cos it is 20 yrs since Graceland that he is playing it so much. And when he comes to Europe next year, he´ll have more from Surprise, and all the other songs we´ve been requesting like from the Capeman and H&B yeah!! |
