There have always been longer and shorter songs - The Coast was long too and is gone, diamonds and The Boxer have always been in the set.

I remeber in Hamburg he played (´only´) 23 songs, and the show was 1 hour 55 min then. So I guess this show was 1:40 or 45...except he talked 20 minutes..what would be a real Surprise.
No definately this show was a bit too short, normaly he played 3 songs at the first encore, and 2 songs at the 2nd one...

I was arguing with Joey so hard on amps that I only expect 4-5 songs more than 18, while he said he thinks Paul will play 28 or 30 songs...and now 20? :-(

I think it is no argument to have an opening act for shortening the set. And is Paul really that Old...I think McCartney is at the same age and played 35 or more songs at his shows (2:40 hours)

The opening act, The Jerry DOuglas Band, played from 7:30 until about 8:10...then the stage was reset...took til about 8:25...8:30......then PS and band came out and played til 10:20...so it was a little short of 2 hours...I was surprised when I looked at my song list later that it was only 20 songs.....there was a lot of improvision....It did not seem like a short concert....More later....Just got up....

There were three times that the crowd got up to dance...Diamonds...Cecilia...Al.....So it was the first time in the concert that people got up to dance around...Paul and the band did a lot of improvision as he usually does with this song.....repeating the chorus...over and over..."Sing ta na na..ta na na na....She got Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes"...Seemed much like I remember in the "You´re The One" concert....I Love this song..so was up dancing away..

Disappointed that he does not play more of Surprise. It seems to me that there were lot more during the 200 tour from YTO.

Graceland, Graceland...these are classics songs now for sure, but you know...that was 20 years ago.

For ROTS, although it is one of his best albums, I won´t miss the songs this time. For the Paul/Bob tour, he had already revisted several songs from it. I am a little bit bored now by live renditions of Cool Cool River and The Coast actually.

Proof...
It was a much more energetic concert than "You´re The One"...as far as song choice...and Paul´s demeanor....he was smiling, laughing...and sitting just three rows from him...I could tell that he was genuinely where he wanted to be..onstage....He thanked the crowd several times....
I was hoping he would do ´Sound of Silence´...but I´ll get over it......
There was a good flow to this concert....the choices flowed...one to the next... he utilized the strengths of the band in his song choices.....

When I saw the setlist that was my first thought, the songs are in very well order.

I´m glad Paul was so enthousiastic and that he and the band had a good time.

Every one has their own wishes but I think when we have a chance to visit a concert most of us will have a great time.

I am not surprised about the length. It is the first time he has an opening act. But must say, most other stars I saw did have opening acts. I don`t like this, it is very rare that you have a good one, and if, it nevertheless is more or less ignored, because it was not what you paid for. And it mostly needs an hour or more before the main act shows up.

The setlist partly is surprising. Four songs from the 60`s! None from ROTS, which is sad, as Ans wrote.

He could leave out one or two of the magic-Graceland heavies (Boy, title-song, Diamonds and Al) when only doing 20 songs.

4 songs from Surprise is ok.

Will there ever be a Simon-set without Still crazy? Or The Boxer?
