 | I am not sure if I have missed that, but did we ever talk about the movie ´Rumor has it´ (Wo die Liebe hinfällt) ??
I saw the movie the first time tonight, and if you want to be surprised then do not read more.
It is something like "The truth about the Graduate"... or "The Graduate II"..
Anyway, Mrs. Robinson will be played there too. I found that story really cool, have never seen a movie like that before where the story is based on another movie, or continues it in reality...
Ok, why did no one tell that to me...or did I miss that totaly? |

 | I searched on AMPS for the title but also could not find a posting.
I loved the idea of that movie, it is all based on The Graduate, and says that the Graduate is a true story about a family in Pasadena - but Nobody knows which family.... And it is playing around 1998-2000 or so (I guess), and the main person is now the grandchild of Mrs. Robinson. I find the story really interesting, so I wont tell more if you want to watch that movie. It is not a movie like "The Graduate 2", or "how it continued"...
The real Mrs. Robinson is played by Shirly MacLaine.
The ´Old´ Dustin Hofman is Kevin Costner,
and the grandchild is Jennifer Aniston. |

 | And by that way - the German title is just senseless IMO. Rumor has it is exactly what the movie is about.... is it all a big rumor, or a true story...
And the German title is just a boring "Where Love tumbles" (or something like that). I always thought that this is just a nice love movie. |

 | It didn´t work with the title because ´rumor has it´ is often used in sentences, so I searched for movie and found it there, the posting was november 29, 2005. There were only 3 posts.
The story of the movie sounds interesting, was there only the instrumental version of Mrs. Robinson or the whole song? |

 | I only saw parts of the graduate (but think it was enough to catch the story...)
They play Mrs. Robinson for a few seconds, the famous guitar riff and then the first few lines. I think you will enjoy watching that movie, this DVD´s should be available in every DVD-rental shop.
I was really surprised yesterday when watching that movie, because I have seen several advertisements in cinemas and read a short intro/review, but there it always was just described as a winding funny Love story. Only because I am a big Kevin Costner fan I finally rented the DVD yesterday - and the story was much better than I expected it. (but watch the Graduate before ;-) )...I guess the movie floped a little bit because no one under the age of 30 knows ´The Graduate´ today :-) |

 | It´s just a cute little Jennifer Anniston vehicle of a movie...no real comparison to "The Graduate"...Critics gave it a C-...Moviegoers a C...I like Kevin Costner and Shirley MacLaine...might rent it..especially since Bodo liked it.... |

 | Well, as a Simon fan I really had to enjoy it...especially waiting for Mrs. Robinson :-) They even showed the scene from The Graduate S&G showed on their farewell tour.
And then there is Kevin Costner saying the famous line...
Anyway, the critics might be right, parts of the story have been like a Hollywood teenage movie |

 | It´s funny to see the little funny references to The Graduate - like the part when "Mrs. Robinson" says she´d take a bottle of bourbon. LOL
I saw the movie some time ago, only because of the reference to The Graduate, but after watching it I thought "Hey, this is a good movie!"
