 | Bill,
I am a PS fan, beginning in the 1960s to today. I was born and raised a New Yorker-- I now live in the US Virgin Islands.
Some of the regulars to this site know about the times I have met PS and obtained his autograph and worked out with him, etc.
In his Still Crazy tour, I saw him twice at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, when he had a big banner raised-- "Paul Simon Loves New York"...
I took my mother, who was dying of cancer, to the second show... she loved it...
So the Big Apple is represented here, as well as many other countries and cultures, religions, ages, races, sexes.
That is why Paul is wrong when he calls his art form of popular song childish -- so many of us humans, no matter our circumstances, respond.
Welcome.
