 | Garry...
You are not making sense to me.....If you only want to listen to Paul´s works up to Graceland...listen to his CD´s...Because if he came to England to tour, you would be hearing a lot of stuff you don´t like.....This new "Surprise" is the most creative album to date.....You really don´t sound much like a PS fan......How could you Love PS as a singer/songwriter if he hasn´t written anything you like in almost 20 years?...... | | | | kronsk Jun-26-2006, 18:19 GMT

 | Garry, your postings are a little hard to understand and lately they have become quite rude too. No need for that, I think Ans´ and my posts were polite enough. You write "your saying that that is Bodo´s opinion" - I´m not sure what that means, but if you are refering to the opinion of not believeing in and not wishing for another S&G tour, then you got it wrong. We are saying that that is the opinion of so many of us at this site.
And to respond to another post of yours: we are not argueing much here. We have some discussions and a lot of informative threads. The arguing has been your deal, I´m sorry to say. | | | | Micky Jun-26-2006, 21:09 GMT

 | I´m curious to know why you´re here Garry. You talk of people dishing Art, but you seem to be doing with Paul.
Art has said many times he´d like to record or do a tour with Paul. But Paul has said only recently that they´ve done it now and are happy with that.
Frankly I value their friendship far more than seeing them on stage again or recording an album and then them splitting because of the stress of the whole thing.
It has nothing to do with Paul not wanting the share the limelight at all.
And if you dislike Paul´s new music so mcuh, why are you here?
And no, Bodo is not the only one who´d rather not see Paul & Art perform together again. Of course if you´d read some of the Old posts you would know that.

Well that is a load of rubbish, Art sung a Randy Newman song at his concert, Does he want to tour with him? NO! Does he want to make an album with him? NO! If there is another tour, Don´t go Bodo! But don´t persuade other people that it wont happen, We all want it to, Except you of course, But Paul is to jealous to share the applause and praise, After all wasn´t he jealous because Art sang BOTW??
You have to understand Bodo that just because you hate Art and you belive everything that paul says and you are absaluotley posotive that their wont be a tour, You keep shattering people dreams, This is my thought, I think/Know they will tour, You Don´t, So what I don´t care if you don´t, Maybe their will be some space after Paul´s ´Suprise´ tours and before his ´New´ album (which wont come out and if it does will be dreadful, Unless it is another PS Songbook.
But don´t go forcing other people to belive what you blive.
Thank You

 | Rape comics??? What on earth are you talking about? We argue?
Although I feel I´m talking to the wall here as I suspect you´ve gone!
All I can say, going by the posts you have written, good riddence... | | | | Matthew Jun-26-2006, 21:38 GMT

 | There was a link to some disgusting material that was quickly removed. It was posted by a ´troll´ - someone who has no interest in the forum who posts links, advert, etc. | | | | Bodo Jun-26-2006, 22:40 GMT

Ehm, no, we all here don´t want it. And Paul Simon doesn´t want it, so we are all very happy at the moment :-)
Garry, I do not really understand your problem- I AM NOT shuttering your dreams, Paul Simon said "Mission accomplished!" And we here say "Hurray"
What you say btw. is extreme rubbish, ROTS was the best album Paul ever made, and that was after Graceland. | | | | Bodo Jun-27-2006, 18:16 GMT

 | There is lack of melody and rhyming (Not saying they should rhyme but it helps sometimes)
Some people need help in finding rhymes, I am so nice to do that now.
We heard the fireworks
Rushed out to watch the sky,
Happy go lucky, 4th of July
sky, july - that rhymes Garry
How Can You Live In The Northeast?
How can you live in the South?
How can you live on the banks of a river
When the floodwater pours from the mouth?
south, mouth....ok?
How can you be a Christian?
How can you be a Jew?
How can you be a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Hindu?
How can you?
Jew - you...I think you will find the next rhyme now alone
Weak as the winter sun, we enter life on earth.
Names and religion comes just after date of birth.
...need help?
And everybody gets a tongue to speak,
And everyone hears an inner voice,
A day at the end of the week to wonder and rejoice.
ok, thats a hard one...really not easy to find...there are 2 rhymes
If the answer is infinite light, why do we sleep in the dark?
ok, now we come to a point where genious and normal musican can be divided into 2 groups:
Billy Joel would sing:
"why do we sleep in the night"
Britney spears:
"sleep with me tonight"
Metallica
"then death, death, death let´s fight"
Art Garfunkel
"and everything is beautiful and bright"
But Paul Simon is allowed to omit obvious rhymes.
Ok, next song for you Garry
Locked in a struggle for the right combination -
of words in a melody line,
I took a walk along the riverbank of my imagination.
wuuuuoo, so long words, and they rhyme (think you found them, right)
Golden clouds were shuffling the sunshine.
now thats hard, thats a 1-2-1-2 rhyme pattern.
line-sunshine
But if I ever get back to the twentieth century,
guess I´ll have to pay off some debts.
Open the book of my vanishing memory,
with its catalogue of regrets.
you need help again I guess
century-memory
debts-regrets
Ok, thats enough demonstration on that song
Outrageous:
poor-endure-rain-complain and so on
Sure don´t feel like Love
today -anyway
fool-school
line-time
...
Wartime prayers
conversations-invocations,
fires-liars
ENOUGH, every song rhymes, and his rhymes are so good and sophisticated that I simply think you either do not understand the words ??? or you have never listened to that album.
Before telling such stupid things you should do your homework. | | | | |
