I saw Art Last night and James was with him at the concert, He sang Cecilia with him and took the role of Paul´s part very well in it, He then sung a song on his own. He had such a beutiful voice!

Did he ask the audience to join in on "I want another S&g tour, I want another S&g tour, I want another S&g tour, I want another...." ;-)

(Sorry, just joking about the latest interview I could read this morning, where we could read again that AG said last week he wants to tour again as S&G) Good friends are very different.

It´s Art who should let go of the past.

I don´t hate the guy, just think it´s pathetic of him to hold on so much to S&G, he should have focused more on his own solo career.

he is nerving, that should be crime enough.

If he enjoys singin the songs so much, then why not in the shower - or at least alone. No, this guy is telling us in every interview the same, that there is a good chance there will be a S&G tour soon, and that he would Love to record again a new S&g album and blah blah blah - and people take this blah blah as the truth - while Paul Simon thinks (and only sometimes says) the 100% opposite thing.

Remember David Lettermans 10 calls on Paul Simons answering machine? I guess that was not a joke, Letterman really had that tape...

Well that is a load of rubbish, Art sung a Randy Newman song at his concert, Does he want to tour with him? NO! Does he want to make an album with him? NO! If there is another tour, Don´t go Bodo! But don´t persuade other people that it wont happen, We all want it to, Except you of course, But Paul is to jealous to share the applause and praise, After all wasn´t he jealous because Art sang BOTW??
You have to understand Bodo that just because you hate Art and you belive everything that paul says and you are absaluotley posotive that their wont be a tour, You keep shattering people dreams, This is my thought, I think/Know they will tour, You Don´t, So what I don´t care if you don´t, Maybe their will be some space after Paul´s ´Suprise´ tours and before his ´New´ album (which wont come out and if it does will be dreadful, Unless it is another PS Songbook.
But don´t go forcing other people to belive what you blive.

Thank You

Take it easy, Garry. I can understand (especially from the posts in that other thread) that you desperately want another S&G tour, and that is of course ok, but don´t attack people for expressing a different opinion than yours.
I know that Bodo, and other people in this forum (myself included), can be quite direct in their messages, especially the ones involving AG, but that´s how it is in here. This is a Paul Simon fan site, and if you want a forum where everybody is as positive towards S&G as you, this is not the place.

I have three questions/opinions, that I urge you to consider:

1. Do you really think Bodo is "shattering peoples dreams"? I have read that other thread, and yes he (and others) expresses strong wishes for AG to drop that whole idea of another S&G collaboration/tour. But that thread is called "Will S&G tour in 2007?". If you don´t want to read posts by people saying that they don´t think so or that they don´t hope so, maybe you should not read that thread!

2. If you think so bad of Paul, that he is too jealous to share some applause with AG, how can you still consider yourself a fan? Obviously you like AG, so why would you want such a petty little man to team up with your hero?

3. Have you read a lot of threads in this forum? If so, you should know, that a lot of people in here are huge fans of Paul Simons solo work. We like it more than S&G and, as Paul is not getting any younger, we want as much of it out of Paul as we possibly can in the limited time in the music buissenes that he has left. Surely you can understand that this does not leave time for more S&G tours? Saying that Bodo is the only one who does not want another S&G tour is pure nonsens.

Me personally, I have nothing against Art Garfunkel. I recognise he was a big part of Paul´s career, and I really like S&G. I thought the Old Friends tours were ok, and I enjoyed the one I attended very much. Still, I can see why some Paul Simon fans though it was, if not a step back, then a bit of a waste of time, and I certainly don´t want them to do another. But I can also see, that a lot of fans enjoyed the tour very much, and I understand that you are sorry that you didn´t make it to a concert (especially considering the reason you missed it - very sorry about that).
But what it all comes down to is this:
This a Paul Simon fan site. A lot of people in here will make a little bit of fun of AG and some will critisize him, especially when it comes to the issue of another S&G tour or the alike.
If it makes you angry to read stuff like that, and you plan to hang around this forum for a while, then you will become a very angry man. And that is really no good - neither for you or us.

There is no need to get so angry Garry. On this site a lot of people don´t want another S&G tour. In fact this is a site about Paul Simon and not about S&G, so it´s obvious that we like Paul Simon solo better. The stuff about BOTW is long gone, that happened years ago and is not relevant anymore.

Why would there not be another album and why would it be dreadfull? Obviously you don´t like his solo albums because you only want him to make another Songbook.

Maybe you should visit a S&G site, you will feel much more comfortable there, this is just a suggestion, nothing to get upset about.

You explained it much better than me Soren, I didn´t check if a message was posted before I did, the typing took a while because I was searching for a good way to say it, but know I hope Garry understands what this site is about.....

I like all of Paul Simons work up to Graceland, After that I found was horrible, I have been a fan of Paul´s for many decades, I found these albums let downs, There is lack of melody and rhyming (Not saying they should rhyme but it helps sometimes) He used big words which don´t quite fit, I loved Graceland, Because I Love African music, But Then onwards I find appauling, I love Paul as a singer/Songwriter, This is why I want him to come over to England, And your saying that that is Bodo´s opinion, This is mine!!!!!!!!1
