Have come to this site for quite some time now, but just registered today so this is my first post. Hope I´m not repeating anything that has already been posted.
One of the things that makes Simon this incredible songwriter is his ability to, in the middle of a song that might seem a bit dull, suddenly completely blow your mind away with melodies and instrumental settings that are insanely beautiful. The most obvious example in my opinion is The Cool. Cool River which 3.21 into the song suddenly explodes into one of the most beautiful 30 seconds in music history if you ask me. But I´m also thinking of Love that 1.54 into this otherwise not too exciting song bursts into something very powerful. Another song that contains this very Simonesque way of songwriting is Bernadette (2.22 into the song, even though the rest of the song is very good too).
So, my question is, can you think about the songs in this way too, and do you also have favourite parts of songs that are special to you? |

 | Yes, I also can think about songs in this way. But my favourite parts are not alway the same, sometimes they change. Maybe they follow their own way into my brain or my heart.

 | The chorus in "Father And Daughter" makes me cry when I hear it. "Im gunna watch you shine, gunna watch you grow" Amazing... Especially when Adrian sings with Paul. It is just the cutest thing ever. I Love that song. But the chorus stands out in my mind |
