There was an interview with Paul Simon on Wednesday night´s (May 31´s) airing of a show called "Nightline." Don´t know if it is carried anywhere other than the US. (Sorry for my international ignorance.) I Love getting to hear actual interviews, not just singing/playing guitar. Paul said he doesn´t consider himself religious (doesn´t like having to pray in a certain manner dictated by any particular religion), but he does believe in God.

Was it a very long interview? Surprised it wasn´t announced on his web site, I´d have tuned in...

It is now announced on paulsimon.com I did not check the last 2-3 days but I think it came in the last 1-2 days

BTW - you can buy ´transcribeds´ of that radio show - but it is expnensive IMO - 20$ only for a written document.

Very, very good interview with a little more edge than some of the other recent (and also great) interviews. He pretty much says the same things in all these interviews, but IMO this one has a little more bite than the others. What an intelligent man he is - the album should go platin just for that!
And yes, the acoustic snippet of Wartime Prayers sounds pretty good (to say the least).

I can not for the life of me understand why this album os not selling better in the US! It seems he has gotten quite a lot of publicity, the music is surprisingly (pun intended) fresh and he has a message that surely more than fifty percent of the american popultion more or less agrees with. He is a well known figure over there so it can´t be that people has forgotten him, and with the music being so good and "modern" I really can not understand why it doesn´t sell better.

I know that being a huge Paul Simon fan I´m as biased as one can be, but when I look at the Billboard list and see some of the stuff placed well over Mr. Simon, I´m starting to believe in laws against selling bad music (and dictating buying Simon albums ;-) ).

Well, I´ve started to watch and am already getting annoyed. Has anyone else suffered the porblem of it buffering every second? I haven´t had this since I was on dial up!

As anyone managed to record this interview to on the the fan section?

Micky, I´ve watched the link and didn´t have problems with buffering. I´m guessing it has something to do with your computer, but am afraid I´m clueless as to what your solution is. Problem does not appear to be with the link, though.

Nope, nothing wrong with my PC. Except when we had Dial up I´ve never had this problem. Could be a lot of people accessing it though.

Anyway...what a great interview...I hope someones managed to record this as I´d like to be able to watch it again at my leasure.

Paul seemed s much more open than usual, the way he answered the questions was so eloquent.

No problems with the buffering. Although everytime I download the flash player it shuts the internet down. Like every single time, I can´t even get into the paulsimon.com.

Any ideas on what the problem is?

I did manage to get it working, and I did see the video, which was amazing.
