 | Here is a link to a BBC interview from today:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/arts/frontrow/past_pro grammes.shtml
Go to "Listen again" "... to the most recent edition". Paul is right at the beginning. But I don´t know how long it will be there. |

 | Ok... With regards to the Old Friends tour:
BBC: Would you do it again?
Paul Simon: NO! Simon & Garfunkel are out of time!
So you can relax everybody! Don´t have to worry about that anymore... |

 | I really liked the interview though the questions were, on occasion a little strange.
Really good answer from Paul re Simon and Garfunkel. I think the "we´re out of time" part has multiple aspects to it: the era of music at the moment, their age etc and most importantly the ability to recreate the stunning harmonies that they were characterised by. They (and the Beatles) are the only group to have an unblemished legacy and I think its best it stays that way. The Rolling Stones, even Dylan have stuffed it up somewhat by producing poor quality follow ups to their classics. |
