I agree, Bodo. When there will be an european tour, media will be less lazy here in Europe.
But I also think that Surprise is completely a "Paul Simoned" album. I like Eno´s music too, but it seems so strange to me to trust and depend on Eno´s fans .

One Fred Meyer store had it in the new album section, and one of them had it hidden away under the "S" section. I think I will complain at the latter store. Someone I know said that at Border´s the first day the salesperson said it was flying off the shelfs. I still hear people being amazed when I tell them is a new album. I have bought 5 copies to give to friends. I am doing the best I can to promote this wonderful album. I really really Love it.

Surprise No. 2 on amazon.co.uk.

I feel as though Paul´s time in American music has passed by; he really can´t offer anything to compete with the crap that floods the market currently. You have musical morons like Nick Lachey making sales based on his divorce of Jessica Simpson. What chance does Paul Simon have with a GOOD record?

As far as Europe is concerned, I think Surprise could do well with good publicity.

It is still #7 on Amazon.com. That isn´t too bad considering he isn´t in the bubble-pop group.

He´s doing VERY well for a 64-year-Old man who´s been in the business for over 40 years! Not as good as we fans may hope, but to be realistic, it´s a comfort to know that the Jessica Simpsons of the so-called "music" biz won´t even be remembered when they´re 64!

"Written by Paul Simon, Music by Paul Simon, Performed by Jessica Simpson".

Do you think that could work?!

Sorry, Jessica....to hear her name in the same sentence with Paul is a bit disturbing. At least Paul knows what tuna fish is.

Surprise is:

No. 32 in Sweden after 19, third week.
No. 22 in Denmark after 12, third week.

No. 97 in Europe after 69, third week, but still not in the charts of UK, France, Germany, Spain and other important countries (such as Austria!) because of release-date.
