 | I downloaded some P.S. rarities last night. I believe "Sleepy Sleepy Baby" (by "Jerry Landis") must be the worst song ever recorded by anyone in the history of music.

| But you are right, that pre-S&G period is not really that great. I only really Love 1 song, ´Play me a sad song´ .. most of the rest is just ´learning and trying´. Paul learned to use the different tecniques, learned to record and produce songs. |

| Let me clarify my statement. Paul´s singing is nice. The music is your classic "oldies". However, the fake yawning really gets under my skin. Also, they lyrics make me think of someone slipping a girl a roofie! "Are you sleep baby, or do you just wanna be loved?" Scary! I do, however, find it very amusing. Heh heh. |

| neon...it is written by a kid at the end of a day who didn´t have the background a certain child who cannot be mentioned has. Paul´s dad didn´t do that kind of stuff. So little Paulie Simon was just learning. For someone who had little experience at the time I don´t think it´s that bad....it´s a nice bit of fluff. |

Fluff can be good or bad. "Lone Teen Ranger," in my opinion, is good fluff. I do find it humorous, but I think that song is meant to be funny. "Sleepy Baby"? Bad fluff. Of course, this is just my humble opinion. :)
A "roofie" is a drug that makes you pass out, often referred to as the "date rape drug." Yes, I know this is not what Paul is really singing about (I hope!!), but the thought of him singing about something like that really cracks me up. |
