Nobody should have to grovel to anyone or be in that position, and I suppose that is another one of my major gripes about S&G reunions, Art garfunkel has obviously his own talents, but he has never really moved on from the S&G days, he appears to live for these concerts, which put him in the position of second fiddle.

For the record, when S&G split up I was a bigger fan of Art Garfunkel, and was very disappointed when I realised the gorgeous blond on the sleeve of the Greatest Hits was not the writer of the songs. When I went to their reunion concert in 82 it was "Bright eyes" I was looking forward to hearing not "50 ways" and yes I did get "Hearts And Bones" thinking there would some S&G stuff, but that album changed me into an ardent Paul Simon solo fan ever since - the man is a genius.

I´m not musical so I can´t comment on chords and so on, its the lyrics, and the likes of the horn section in Late In The Evening, the sax in Still Crazy etc that I find amazing!

Indeed. We have a lot in common really Scaaty. Hearts And Bones changed my life too in 1983. And the horn section in Late In The Evening so moved me,that when I was a spotty faced youth of 16,I wrote Paul a letter mentioning the horn arrangement, and even got a reply...from Ian Hoblyn:-((but it still was embossed with the words PAUL SIMON on the envelope. Those were the days...

I think it is safe to say that Paul Simon is a Theist, not a diest (he thinks God takes an active interest in our lives). If he´s not a Christian, he sure knows the lingo that any Christian would recognize. You could say he is a liberal Jew or a liberal Christian as there is not much difference between the two.
