 | Chill guys, just a joke. Most people on here Love S & G and genuinely respect Art. There´s a Paul Simon thread like this as well so its not bullying, as its not directed at one individual its simply taking opinions!!! They are things that bug us, we´re not just picking on him...everyone has their faults...I personally believe its better to know about them than not!!! |

 | Incidentally, here´s one for ya!! Why does Art insist on letting his kid sing with him. I mean sure Harper has played with Paul, but if you´ve ever heard Good Luck Charm from Artie´s Songs From a Parent To A Child Album then you´ll know what I mean! I Love some of Artie´s solo stuff, but this is just BAD!!! And if you´ve ever seen them together, he has exactly the same hairstyle and wears identical clothes to Art on stage (least he did when he was younger in the 90´s). I find this very scary, its like a midget Art Garfunkel...not 2 pleasant. I fear the kid could be scarred for life!!!! |

 | Because not all people are fans from Art Garfunkel. Thats all.
S&G
Paul Simon
Art Garfunkel
These are 3 different musicians with absolute different music and approach to the music. Even if you are a Paul Simon fan you don´t have to be a fan of S&G, they feed different fan-groups. Remember what Paul said why he did the S&G reunion tour again - to please these Old fans from the 60´s one last time maybe.

 | Of course they can. I´m a huge fan of Paul Simon, S&G and large chunks of Art garfunkel´s solo career but that doesn´t mean I don´t find Art´s haircut or awkward onstage style weird! In the same way I find Paul´s distance from his fans and bitterness with Art really annoying. We may Love their music but they are not perfect people...after al NOBODY IS PERFECT!!!! |

 | Jimmie, in Simon and Garfunkel, there is something we miss in Art Garfunkel, and it´s Simon... ;-) |

 | "And so I could image that if Paul or Art saw such comments that deep down it may hurt"
Not if you develop a certain sense of self irony. Children may not have that, but grown-ups should - otherwise they have a lack of self confidence. Do you really think Art would break down crying if he read this thread?? |

 | Not necessarily but it could still hurt him subconsciously. |

 | Does he have a subconcious?? this man doesn´t seem to have any deeper layers esp in his music. Even Paul said that and thats why he wrote My Little Town.
Also both men have an ironic sense of humour so I don´t anything we say would upset.
At least we´re still talking about them, which is a lot more than the rest of the world who seem to think that songwriting/singing began and ended with Dylan and the Beatles. |the worst insult to anyone is to be ignored.

 | I find the way he opens his mouth when he sings longer notes irritating.
and has anybody else noticed that when he´s finished singing a line, nine times out of ten he bites his lower lip? |
