 | Maybe this is worth opening a new thread. "royd" from the AG-forum posted this yesterday:
A "reliable source" informs me that the album will be called "Surprise." The song titles for the new album are:
how can you live in northeast
everything about it is a Love song
Outrageous
sure don´t feel like love
wartime prayers
beautiful
I don´t believe
That´s Me
Another Galaxy
Once Upon a Time There Was an Ocean
Father and Daughter |

 | This is very good news!
A new contribution that tells us that there WILL be an album released soon! |

 | Hm, very interesting...We have "Wartime Prayers" and "Father and Daughter" :-) And I hope "Beautiful isn´t a cover of that nerving James Blunt song ;-) But those titles don´t fit at all to the supposed album title "Musical Palette"! |

 | This would be the first Simon album since... ehm..since There goes rhymin Simon! with a title which is not a song on the album itself....
When I read the message from Ans I also have the feeling that there is something wrong. Also I don´t think that Father and daughter will be included on the new album - it was written for the movie, and already released on a movie soundtrack CD.

 | Hm,ok - this Art Garfunkel forum is really strange.
You know why?
Well they have a few different AG discussion boards (some are closed), BUT, he Paul Simon boad which is only available now since 1 or 2 years, has nearly more posts than all other AG boards together...
Strange :-) |

 | I never trust so-called "reliable sources". If they´re so reliable, why can´t they be named? |

 | It would be easy to create new song titles from Old lines.
When I think back
The open palm of desire
We shall all be called as witnesses
One and one-half wandering jews
Lavender and Roses
You can`t outrun the history train
Lord let us pray
Nobody but you
I was born in Puerto Rico
Honesty is such a waste of energy
Some people never say the words I Love you
So within about 10 minutes I come along with some titles, whether as reliable as the ones above I don`t know. Tried to take one from each album and three from my favourite. Not very difficult. |

 | See, that I still have some problems with the Capeman, so no Puerto Rico:
We came here when I was a child |

 | I´m not sure whether to believe in the authenticity of these titles or not. There was a similar song title list (from "reliable sources") for Bob Dylan´s Time Out Of Mind album posted in some newsgroup before it was released. With song titles like Abraham´s Altar and Stormy Season it turned out to be false.
I don´t like those titles very much. How Can You Live In Northeast sounds interesting though. |

 | How Can You Live In Northeast does not even make sense since there is no article prior to North East - it should be How Can You Live In The North East. |

 | I was just at the AG site and that message from Royd isn´t even there anymore...I always take what he says with a grain of salt :) |

 | Well, even without knowing him nearly all of us here did not believe him. He isn´t one of the best storytellers... |

 | Oh, your posts made me wonder. Okay, I just hope there will be a new album soon! *desperate*

Cross In The Ballpark
Ghosts And Empty Sockets
´Twas In The Early Morning Hours
and
Jack, Stan, Roy, Gus and Lee´s Theme
(That´s the best of MY titles, isn´t it? ;) ) |
