 | Andy, you surely miss the point in any fact. Better you wake up, you have been sleeping for 35 years now. - Paul can´t bring any new styles when having the ballast of Art in his neck. Garfunkel is a striclty singer, and he can only sing ballads - you can´t make a lot with that. In these 7 years 1963 - 1970 Paul only has had to make compromises.
Wake up and listen to Simon´s solo albums, you will learn much more about music and it will bring you on a journey to everywhere.

 | I´m kind of a fence sitter on this issue...i think i would take both, although the idea of AG contributing to this album is interesting in a "how would they sound" kind of way. |

 | If paul wants to make an album w/ "Outkast, the Sex Pistols" WHOEVER... I don´t care. Anything that paul has had a hand in is good as far as i´m concerned. Personally i´m NOT an AG fan, but w/out his contribution bridge, SoS,Scarbourough Fair, none of them would be as haunting and memorable as they are. I don´t think i care if ag sings or not. just ANYTHING from paul would be good at this point. |

 | I don´t know, it could be worse...imagine, The Paul Simon hardcore gangsta rap album with guest rapper Snoop Dog doing new remakes of Old Paul standards such as ´Fifty Ways to Beat Your Lover´, ´The Only Working Ho in New York´ and my personal all time favorite rap song, ´Me and Don Julio Down by the Jail Yard´.
Yes, it could be worse. Be careful when you say "anything would be good!" |

 | A new S&G wouldn´t work. Yes Artie contributed a lot to the original albums, but in the last tour - Paul was the star, the superior voice and Artie kowtows tohim too much too make any real influence. Citizen of the planet while the sentiments are good, the music to my ears anyway sound like someone just picked up the words and sang/read it like psalms are in church. |

 | AG and Richard Perry (producer of the album Breakaway) are collaborating on a new studio recording.
This is mentioned at the news section of AG´s site.
So I guess there will be no collaboration of AG on Paul´s new album..... |

 | Hm, why do you guess? Well at least we can be sure there will be no new S&G album, but it could be that they make some songs together (like My Little Town) and have them both on their solo album. |

 | I hope not. But can anyone document a release date for Paul´s album being released in March. Isn´t the record label giving any signs of anything at all. I´d be satisfied with a first of the year quote. Things have been quiet for so long it´s almost surreal and scary. Wouldn´t it be great if he came out with a double CD of all new material? |

 | Well, there is always a possibility that AG already made his contribution to the album, but I hope not. |

 | I just long for the release of a Paul Simon anything - being in Australia a tour would be my ultimate - we don´t see much of him - 1991 was the last |

 | I haven´t even seen Paul Simon live in concert yet. I would sell my soul, kill a person, or chop off both my arms and my legs to see him live! |
