Does anyone actually know what songs have been rehersed for the tour? Apart from the big hits and one of two numbers from Simons solocareer.

Jimmie, will you hear a concert live - because you ask? Are you flying to the states?

I don´t expect them to play unusual songs, guess their greatest hits and some nice songs like Kathy, For Emily...

My question is, how long will such a concert be? In 1 hour they can play around 22 S&G songs, so for a 2 hours concert 44 songs?? Never or?
The Paramount Shows in 1993 hat 34 songs, but half of the songs were Paul Simon solo songs.

I think it we´ll be around 90 minutes or so.. with all of the hits plus a couple of more unusual stuff.. and 2-3 simon solonumbers..

I won´t be going to the states but I´m very interested in what they will play anyway.

90 minutes for 270$

That are 3$ / minute <g>

The solo numbers are American Tune, My Little Town and Slip Sliding Away, sung by both of them - so not really solo numbers.

I know. I meant songs that Simon did on his solo albums.. I guess they will play longer than 90 minutes.. I don´t think they will dissapoint us actually.
Everybodys fave song will be included :-)

It´s gonna be interesting to see what kind of opening number they will have.

any ´real´ solo songs like ´Diamonds´ or ´Bright Eyes´

Actually Paul said that he always meant that Slip Sliding Away was a S&G song (hey, someone can change his mind all the time..also after 25 years)

I guess they open with a famous song, becaus Paul always want´s to open the show with a hit to ´get´ the audience.
So it could be The Boxer or Mrs. Robinson(think this will come later with the full band) or they simply open with Old Friends because that´s the name of the tour.

Yeah, I was thinking of Old Friends too but maybe a bit too slow to open a show ! :-) Maybe they will finish with that song.

I also don´t want a slow song at the End
:-)
For me The Boxer always was one of the best songs to end...when the audience sings the lie-la-lie´s

The concert in CP was over with a slow song (well, at least on the CD because maybe it was different "live") :-)
