Hi,

Did you ever mishear a Paul Simon lyric?
I know I have, but I do not remmeber them very well anymore because now I know the real lyrics.
I had one silly one about The Boxer:

Checked the menu what he wants to eat and disregards the rest....

Actual lyrics:
Still, a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.

Here are a few funny ones I felt the need to share with you:

Misheard Lyrics:
Momma don´t take my coat and comb away.
Original Lyrics:
Momma don´t take my Kodachrome away.

Misheard Lyrics:
I´m a constipated man
Original Lyrics:
I´m a consumated man

Misheard Lyrics:
But I would not be caught dead with my jewelry in my ears.
Original Lyrics:
But I would not be convicted by a jury of my peers.
Misheard Lyrics:
I´m not the chinaman who tends to socialize.
Original Lyrics:
I´m not the kind of man who tends to socialize.

Misheard Lyrics:
There must be 50 ways to clean your oven
Original Lyrics:
There must be 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover

Misheard Lyrics:
As if I´d never noticed
The way she brushed her hair and farted
Original Lyrics:
As if I´d never noticed
The way she brushed her hair from her forehead

Misheard Lyrics:
Who´ll be my real mom,
Now that my real mom is gone, gone.
Original Lyrics:
Who´ll be my role model,
Now that my role model is gone, gone.

Hey Callista,

eventually you will. There are a few that will stick forever!
I always thought it would be people whose native language isn´t English that mishear lyrics, bur it appears it also happens to US citizens!

If my misheard lyrics come back to my mind I will let you.!
