I took my kids to see Harry Potter and Zathura yesterday. (It was a double feature....a very LONG double feature!) Anyway, the reason I mention this is because it was quite a nice Surprise to hear my kids both yell at the same time, "Mom, it´s Paul Simon!" At first I thought he was at the theater and I had a near heart attack until I realized they were talking about the song that was playing at the end of the film. It was Loves Me Like A Rock. The couple behind me commented that they were shocked that two kids so young even know who Paul Simon is. I was really tickeled about that! The kids insisted we stay through all the credits so we could hear Paul sing. It was really unexpected!
By the way, both films were great! (I know Edie was saying that Adrien and Lulu were both die hard Harry Potter fans and have read all the books, so I am sure they´ve seen it already!

aww how cute! i just hope there are other young kids out there who know about paul (or will in time find out about him) because quite frankly, most of the pop out there today is rubbish and i always get a bit afraid that in a few generations down the track, real artists like paul will no longer be recognised nor appreciated

I´m only 16 and I Love Paul Simon. There are not many others in my age who knows aout him but I do happily help them to discover him!
I agree that most of the music these days are rubbish. The best music comes from the 60s to the 80s.

My two daughters (6 and 10 years Old)know Paul´s music well too and I remember when I took them to see The Wild Thornberries, the whole audiance in the room could hear them screaming in the middle of the movie : "It´s Paul Simon singing !!! " lol ! I was really ashamed but it was finally really funny ! :-)

It would be a real shame if they recognized Britney Spears...

Ahttp://www that´s cute...when I saw the Wild Thornberries movie I leaned over to my friend and whispered really loudly "Hey man! That´s Paul Simon singing!" and she gave me one of those "okay...you´re crazy" looks (which I´m sure all of you die hard Paul Simon fans are familiar with, right?) And I could hear the people behind me snickering. But yeah, I´m only 19 and the music of today,I don´t listen to because most of it is uh...crap. (God I sound like my mom *shudder*) But i usually listen to stuff from the 60´s and 70´s and ever since I got into Paul Simon´s music that´s all I listen to.

Paul´s music is very good, I know him when I was young (4-5 years Old). I think I´m nice man, because of his music. I was little nervous, intolerant, moody, fury a paar years ago and now can I say, hey this is history. I´m very balanced. It could say that I was puberty (15-17 y.o.), no I thing I killed evil in me...so thank you and your music very much,Paul

Reading a story like that should make Paul feel very good about what he´s done with his life. He has touched so many people in so many ways....and will continue to, for a long time to come.

It´s seems that a lot of us has had the first meet with Simon´s music early in the life. I "met" him when I was 13. For chance, but it´ not for chance that he has fallowed all my life till now, 25 years later. Obviously there were moments in which I was a little bit more far from him. But I always come back to him.
Good news what I´ve read here today. Unfortunately not the same in my experience. Much more:"you know, felt like a fool". But nevermind.Doesn´t he teach to "his daughter" to trust in her intuition? Anyway this new surprising cd and all the tension about it, gives me once again, a strange feeling about how deep is the gap between hard to die fan like me and you all and the others.
