 | What if I was to say that Paul Simon is just a small Jewish man from New York who happened to be succesful in music because he really wanted to be. I don´t think he is a genius (no one is) but someone who cultivated his life more then most of us. Music and poetry are bith human qualities. I actually know people from around the corner who are great songwriters without airplay. Am I being cynical? It´s just that there´s a lot of adulation going on, without any criticism. (PS I really am a big fan of both the person and songwriter) |

Il n´est pas dans mes habitudes de répondre à quelqu´un en ces termes mais là tu dépasses les bornes. Personne n´a jamais eu l´intention de se moquer de notre ami Paul, j´en suis sûre et certainement pas Alain !!
Tu n´étais même pas "envisagé" lorque lui a écouté son premier album !! et tout ce que tu penses nous apprendre sur Paul, nous le savions déjà : ce n´est vraiment pas un scoop !! On peut parfois "délirer" sans pour autant manquer de respect.Tu as certainement raison : tu deviens cynique !!

Hm, I think, I´m gifted.
We can regret it but most of our gifts are given when born.

Anyway, I agree with Klausi on this one. Paul Simon IS a genius (whatever that means) in the sence that not many people on this earth could have done what he has done musically - no matter how hard they would work on it... |

 | Jeroen, I think you have a great point, everybody´s special in there own way. There might be other people just as great as Paul but they haven´t been discovered. I doubt it but who knows..? We can´t tell until we have heard them ourselves. |
