The final settlement of the law-suit was, that Simon paid Columbia 1,5 Million Dollars to release him from recording another album of new material as per contract, and "Greatest Hits etc." was released after only three studio-recordings, but with two new songs, one of them Simon`s third and latest million-selling single ("Slip slidin` away", after "Loves Me Like A Rock" and "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover").

Went Platinum, but was (could) not (be) released by Warners until today.

Hi Amber

I would say it is even fake hair on the One Trick Pony tour (and film) as on the S&G reunion tour 81-83

Look at this picture - which was taken in the mid-70´s

Is it my imagination, or does Paul´s face look different? Does anybody know if he´s had a facelift?

I apologize for bringing up something that had already been discussed, but I didn´t know. I should have searched it out, I guess. I´m certainly not ridiculing Paul or trying to put him in a bad light. But, being a fan, I natually worry about him as any fan would. It concerns me that if he has come across a bad doctor and a surgery did not come off right, Paul might be hesitant to be in the public eye as he used to be. I´m thinking this might be why we don´t see him as often as we used to, and perhaps others here might be able to share some light on this. Why? Because I´m a big fan and want to see and hear him as much as possible. Am I making myself clear? Or, do you feel I should drop the subject. Also, this forum seems to be the only one on the net. Is there another? I like this forum, and I realize it´s not an official message board, but it seems so small for someone as important as Paul Simon. Paul McCartney´s official forum has 19459 registered members, and Brian Wilson probably has close to that. It´s no big deal, except for the fact that I can´t get a one on one conversation going very often (if you know what I mean). Anyway, I just wanted you to know I´m a big fan and only want Paul and this board to thrive. Nothing wrong with that - is there?

I´ve been talking on this board for a year and a half now, and I think it is quite good. A little small perhaps, but more intimate and, in my opinion, probably a lot more intellectual than any Paul McCartney site might be.
If you think that you can start a bigger and better forum, then start your own. I think everyone who uses this site cares for Paul just as much as you do, especially Bodo. I can imagine all the time and effort he puts into this site. Have you done that?

What are jumping on me for? I agree with you. Well, I´m new here and whatever I say or ask is to learn. I was not knocking this forum. I believe it is very much more intelligent than McCartney´s official forum. I applaud Bodo and feel everyone is just as big a fan as I am. But, give me a little room because I´m new here. I was just trying to figure out what´s going on with Paul. People misread things too easily and jump down someone´s throat without even asking that person to clarify something. If I say something you don´t like, at least give me a chance to clarfy. It´s too easy to put your own interpretation to someone elses words. Anyway, I´ve had it. Have a great day!

i didn´t see anything wrong with what lynn was saying. i don´t know whether i should be saying this, since i´m kind of new here too, but perhaps we are jumping to conclusions a little too rapidly
